I remember last season hearing pundits claim ten Hag had fixed them and they were on their way back and I couldn't believe it. I thought they were mostly boring and very lucky to finish as high as they did. They only scored 58 goals too which backs this up. They were however at least fairly solid defensively which seems to have completely gone out of the window this season.
I don't think Sterling will ever be as effective as he was in the Man City set up where his movement (especially arriving at the back post) got him most of his goals. He's never been as good when he dribbles and tries to beat players like he's doing at Chelsea.
The way players move and pass the ball just doesn't look realistic to me, they all take these sort of 'tappy' touches for everything.
Really disappointing that in the year 2023 there still isn't a good football sim.
It is a bit concerning that the contract still hasn't been signed considering talks have been happening for around 6 months now?
I suppose Dougie did get into the final year of his deal though and still end up signing a new one.
The fact it's still touch and go whether Ollie gets in the squad after the year he's had is just ridiculous. Konsa is also deserving of a call up and has been for a while but again doubtful he gets an opportunity. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if players like Nketiah and Colwill were picked instead and it's hard not to think it's just because they play (occasionally) for 'big' teams.
