    Conceding directly after scoring isn’t ”mental weakness” ffs, it’s a touch of inexperience and not taking proper time to get settled after that adrenaline rush.

    Both teams pressing high leading to both teams having problems even getting out of their own half. Pretty much stalemate, which I guess has been the plan so far.

    Of course I would! Bring on those clubs from Moldova and Albania. We would even have a chance to win the thing. I was just a bit disappointed when I saw you had to play qualifyers first before the group stage.

    The european qualification through the league cup is a bit shit tbf, I believe you have to play qualifying games first to then possibly go into the conference league group stages. FA cup winners go directly to the group stage, and in the Europa league instead of the conference.

    If we compare our respective double pivots, Villa are clear. Kamara/Luiz > McFred.

    People have been wanting to see Chambers and Luiz/Kamara is probably our strongest double pivot. Question marks for Augustinsson and Olsen maybe, but those two are swedish and not going to the World cup (which means they can give 100% and get injured with a smile on their faces)

    I was pissed off when Gerrard went full strength against Bolton instead of playing at least a few kids. No kids tonight either but Emery is excused, he’ll want to see as many of his regular players as possible in action before the break.

    I don’t mind the lineup except for Olsen. He’ll obviously play in early cup rounds like this (and I would imagine Martinez is happy to be on the bench this close to the WC) but really don’t believe Olsen is good enough.

    So Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Leeds, Everton, Palace and Brentford are out.

    He gave the ball away twice in that Man U game, the first time he played it directly to Elanga our Emi saved the shot. He was shaky overall in that game, giving away silly free kicks etc. In other games he's looked a whole lot better.

    Man City are very lucky, they can play the reserves and get through while two out of PSG, Bayern, Liverpool and Real Madrid get knocked out early.

    Now that Wolves have appointed Lopetegui, the level of coaching in the league will be at a new high. Only a few clubs left now with random shit coaches.
