  1. Couldn’t happen to a more despicable club.
  2. All the talk about what a difficult group this is was really confusing. Iran, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are hopeless, not even fun to watch.
  3. It’s important to only waste time in games where you clearly are the weaker team. If you are 1 goal ahead against a mediocre side and waste time, you risk getting into a difficult situation if the other team scores and you suddenly have to chase - with useful minutes wasted.
  4. I believe you’re 100% correct there.
  5. Much of the first half was quite pretty tbf, some nice creative combinations. Second half not so much but 3 points!
  6. Almost a shame to have a long break now when we’re suddenly brilliant. Hopefully it’s a lot more than just a bounce though. And no sign of ”mental weakness” today. Is it possible our players are actually a mentally sound bunch? I’d say so.
  7. He scored a lot of goals for Milan, even though quite a few were penalties.
  8. Maybe Southampton would take Ings back on loan if we pay 20-30%?
  9. Don’t understand why Barcelona would sell Kessie for 10-15m (but wouldn’t say no of course). Is it the same as with Aubameyang, Barcelona signing players on a free with the intention of selling? The players should be furious.
  10. Almost a shame Chelsea didn’t pay 80m+ for Antony, he would have been a hattrick in crazy signings together with 63m for Cucurella and 70m for Fofana
  11. Don’t have any stats but judging by Twitter Chelsea could have more foreign fans than other top clubs. Always demanding wins so they don’t get picked on at school in Jakarta.
  12. Saint-Maximin being injured helps them too, he’s usually reliable when it comes to wasting chances or losing the ball somewhere dangerous.
  13. Potter having problems at Chelsea was to be expected. Chelsea fans being impatient was obvious too, most of them live in Indonesia or Egypt and never go to games but they’re everywhere online demanding wins. The interesting part is the owner, he can’t possibly sack Potter anytime soon after all that talk about changing the culture and building for the future.
  14. Hipster is anyone voluntarily watching foreign football?
  15. I know. There’s a 99% chance they’ll have problems eventually but it’s annoying to have to wait for it.
  16. And Newcastle haven’t even got going yet. Just wait until they have invented some extremely wealthy sponsors.
  17. It’s possible, but would look pretty stupid to keep a struggling manager during a unique 6 week break, and then sack him after one game.
  18. Their squad isn’t great but they’ve kept spending. Lampard has brought in quite a few players so can’t escape responsibility. If Lampard stays, they will go down. Probably if he’s sacked too.
  19. Not good enough for Howe anymore it seems. Maybe time to move again if he wants to start games.
  20. At the start of the season I expected half a dozen managers to be sacked this weekend, but a lot of clubs have taken care of business early. Probably just Lampard, maybe Moyes.
  21. I didn’t say it, but he really wasn’t great at Juventus. Shows what a change of clubs can do.
  22. Those things get into the heads of players in a team. If you’ve come from behind to win before, you fully believe it’ll happen again. It isn’t the individual players though, the same players can act ”mentally weak” in their national teams next week.
