It’s important to only waste time in games where you clearly are the weaker team.
If you are 1 goal ahead against a mediocre side and waste time, you risk getting into a difficult situation if the other team scores and you suddenly have to chase - with useful minutes wasted.
Almost a shame to have a long break now when we’re suddenly brilliant. Hopefully it’s a lot more than just a bounce though.
And no sign of ”mental weakness” today. Is it possible our players are actually a mentally sound bunch? I’d say so.
Don’t understand why Barcelona would sell Kessie for 10-15m (but wouldn’t say no of course). Is it the same as with Aubameyang, Barcelona signing players on a free with the intention of selling? The players should be furious.
Don’t have any stats but judging by Twitter Chelsea could have more foreign fans than other top clubs. Always demanding wins so they don’t get picked on at school in Jakarta.
Potter having problems at Chelsea was to be expected. Chelsea fans being impatient was obvious too, most of them live in Indonesia or Egypt and never go to games but they’re everywhere online demanding wins.
The interesting part is the owner, he can’t possibly sack Potter anytime soon after all that talk about changing the culture and building for the future.
Their squad isn’t great but they’ve kept spending. Lampard has brought in quite a few players so can’t escape responsibility.
If Lampard stays, they will go down. Probably if he’s sacked too.
At the start of the season I expected half a dozen managers to be sacked this weekend, but a lot of clubs have taken care of business early. Probably just Lampard, maybe Moyes.
Those things get into the heads of players in a team. If you’ve come from behind to win before, you fully believe it’ll happen again. It isn’t the individual players though, the same players can act ”mentally weak” in their national teams next week.
