Left with the useless Ulrich for the rest of the season, will Bayern sign Emi in January? Or will they settle with taking some keeper from the Bundesliga?
Saw some England fan today who said Richarlison starting proves Brazil aren’t a top team, because ”he wouldn’t get in the England team even if we picked 100 players”.
So now I have to root for Richarlison I guess.
Yeah, managing a national team is usually for ageing coaches with good connections in that country’s FA. That’s why people were surprised when Pep started talking about going that route.
I’m still waiting for teams to step up and impress, hope it happens before the France-Brazil final. Also hope that final turns out better than a UCL group game between Marseille-Shaktar.
Depay has a really comfortable career. Performs in a few games for the Netherlands every other year, the rest of the time it’s 100% new streetwear labels and rap videos.
Absolutely agree on R9, my favourite player ever.
But I believe players fade from the collective memory as soon as they stop playing. In 10 years there will be new best ones ever, people just want to live in a unique era so the current top names automatically become legends.
Of course they did. It was visible too, they looked really stressed for a few minutes when Costa Rica were ahead but once Germany were back in the lead they had zero interest in scoring.
Recency bias as always. In five years people will be arguing if Mbappe or Haaland is the best ever and in 10-15 years some others will be the best ever. The current top player is always the best ever, since no-one really cares about grainy old footage anyway.
Spain losing was the most obvious ”shock” in years. So obvious even I bet on Japan winning - Spain did nothing to score once Germany were back in the lead. Lovely.
