    I’d absolutely love it if we could play in the Europa league sometime, it’s a historic cup and usually very good teams in it. Not as excited by the Conference I’m afraid, mostly due to actually having watched some of it these last two seasons. A bit like playing Stevenage every week, but over somewhere in the former Soviet bloc. I know we can’t afford to be picky but I’d seriously give 100 Conferences for 1 Europa. /eurosnob

    I know those salary sites are unreliable, but according to Spotrac and Capology Villa now have 10 players earning more than him. I’m afraid he may not stick around for long unless he gets that new contract soon.

    I’ve been critical of his defending but he won me over today. Excellent performance all round.

    Our passing wasn’t great today, we gave the ball away too quickly a lot of the time, ending up under pressure. But unbelievable team effort with 100% hard work and bodies on the line. Lovely.

    Exactly this. Spurs fans have created an echo chamber online, in which they convince each other they're a traditional top club and deserve to win the league. In reality their average league position has never been higher than under ENIC.

    Except for friendlies, against Palace in November -21. Scored 3 for Villa last season (21-22). Had a period of great form when Gerrard had just arrived, which probably contributed to him becoming captain eventually.
