We’ve been depending on going ahead in games though. This feels difficult to say the least.

It’s definitely a new dawn. But it’s not some kind of new normal for us to win almost every game. This winning run will end and some may feel deflated when it does (I will too, for a little while). On a positive note, I’m fully convinced we’ll have a really good season 23/24 with some reinforcements, and hopefully get Europe then, if not now.

I’m really warming to the idea of Lo Celso. We would have pretty great midfield options with aggression from Kamara and McGinn and a high technical level with Lo Celso and Dougie. Emery obviously knows GLC well and he does feel like an Emery player.

Since Emery took over we’ve mainly been linked with (relatively) cheap players. Funny to see the difference to the Gerrard era when we were constantly linked with big names.

Yeah, 5th and 6th go straight into Europa League groups. 7th have a play-off game before the Conference League group stage.

Have to admit I felt pretty much the same as those commentators. But even though it was an annoying wait in the second half, it’s time to appreciate our defending.

We’ve taken 26 points out of 30 possible since mid Februari.

We played brilliantly - until we scored. Then we stopped. Felt so unnecessary to spend the whole second half defending around our box, we should have finished them off early. They were shite. A lot of players had an off day. Buendia and Moreno were poor, Watkins was kept silent, Dougie was sloppy. McGinn my MotM without a doubt.

Stellini sacked. Let’s see if they decide to have a bounce against us then. Edit: extremely weird choice having Stellini there in the first place.

Wouldn’t make sense to send him on loan to Nice while paying 2/3 of his wages. He’s still a good enough player so seems stupid to pay lots of money just to get rid.

That squad sounds like a horror show tbf, at least from a manager’s point of view.

There are many things he’s not good at (yet). But in 1v1 situations he’s really something else.

Emi Martinez would love us to sign Lo Celso, the Argentina nationals seem very tight. We have to watch out so we don’t end up with Romero as well.
