  1. If we pretend we’re Forest or Boro we have a good chance against Arsenal and Spurs.
  2. There seems to be many fans around still who hate playing out from the back and keeping possession. Hard to understand why they don’t just support Burnley instead.
  3. What club will that be though? His stock has probably gone down a bit and he’s not likely to be picked up by a top club.
  4. Don’t want to kiss Potter’s arse too much, but he’s very good at this. Routinely rotates and changes formation even during games, which has saved quite a few points for Brighton as they’ve turned around games that looked lost.
  5. Agreed. Arsenal are flying high but still vulnerable. Beating them would be the high point of this season so let’s do it. I’m sure Martinez and Chambers have already marked the date in their calendars.
  6. When Ollie and Danny don’t score, at least it’s nice to remember our two strikers aren’t called Romelu and Timo and charge a combined £600k per week to sit on the bench or miss sitters.
  7. Next season, they will be behind us. Rice will be gone and Soucek will have continued to get worse (he’s already nowhere near as good as last season). Of the London clubs, Palace will be far ahead of West Ham next season since they have a lot more young talent. Good luck Moyes and try to avoid relegation. (Feel free to bookmark this, I will.)
  8. The even harder truth is of course that no players really are must keeps, they all have a price and will all be measured against what they contribute.
  9. Is he, or is it the fact he was bought more recently? They are similar in many ways, unpredictable, not so good defensively, score the odd screamer.
  10. Isn’t this stating the obvious? Better players make better teams. Man City have only a few mediocre players, Spurs have many more, and so on. It’s still possible to break into top six one season with good coaching and a little luck, and try to build from there.
  11. Ok, but we are apparently better than Southampton since we just beat them 4-0. So why did West Ham lose to Southampton recently, twice? There’s a huge element of chance in games. I agree we need to strengthen, but big changes would lead to another season spent in transition. Things like continuity, pre-seasons and working together on the training pitch can be effective.
  12. It’s basically just an irrational wish to see him play. Put him on at 60 mins instead of Bailey?
  13. Kante is obviously past his prime, but Kimmich could be a candidate if he can handle the step up from Bayern.
  14. Wasn’t great today (not terrible either), better previous games. Not many center forwards do well in the league this year for some reason.
  15. This sounds a lot like when my very impatient son plays Fantasy Premier League. When his FPL players have a bad week, he always makes a lot of costly extra transfers and changes half the team in a rage. The recently sold players often improve the week after, forcing him to sell the new ones and buy back the old squad. And around it goes, costing him 20 or 24 points in transfer fees each week.
  16. I feel the same way about Traore others seem to feel about Bailey or maybe Sanson…. Why isn’t he getting minutes? Maybe he will leave and we’ll look stupid when he’s a success in Ligue 1 next season!
  17. Overhead kicks are definitely illegal if you miss the ball and kick people in the face.
  18. And when he ran through West Hams whole box with defenders all around him in the first half!
  19. Buendia showed his entire range in just a few minutes today. First he created a great goal more or less by himself, then he gave the ball away numerous times when we were supposed to be chasing.
  20. Thought so too, he could have done better at their first. Maybe now Gerrard has an excuse to give Konsa the shirt back?
  21. Don’t act like you wouldn’t hound Havertz out within a month, he scores even fewer goals than Watkins.
  22. Wouldn’t say he was horrible today but he didn’t contribute much and made a couple of annoying mistakes. Today’s game should have suited him you’d think, with lots of wrestling opportunities.
  23. Digne getting injured in the 9th minute was probably why they waited a bit with the other subs.
  24. Hard to see a reason to drop McGinn or Ramsey today. Maybe next game though, I wasn’t that impressed with McGinn today.
