    That's not true. What is the Breaking News across the bottom of the screen? Coutinho has a permanent banner and Trippier is in small font scrolling across the screen with other shyte. The single most discussed story for the last 24 hrs has been Villa and Coutinho. They kept repeat the Gerrard interview yesterday too.

    Its not just down to Barca where he goes. Coutinho has to agree to the move. So if he prefers Villa to Toon, it really doesn't matter what % of wages Toon offer, Barca cannot force him to sign for Toon over Villa

    It is the same with all players, Coutinho will get 380k a week for the next 18 months and the ability to play first team football and Barca don't want him. The negotiating power is not all with Coutinho. Yes, fans may be getting hard ons but Purslow is not rolling over onto his back looking to be tickled.

    And what I am saying is that Villa should be putting an option in the contract so that AVFC can trigger a permanent contract which would stop Coutinho signing for another club as a free agent if we want to sign him permanently for Villa

    We get very little out of shirt sales, the manufacturer gets about 90% of the cash. But Purslow is smart and we only sign very short term shirt sponsor deals. Next year when our new shirt sponsor contract is to be signed we will have much better negotiating power and will receive a much bigger yearly fee. All really good for our accounts and profitability

    But 20m is over 18 months. So it would be about 13m on a year's revenue. Finish 2 places higher in the league as a result of Coutinho and that is an extra 7m in revenue. So that would make it a little less than 3% of annual revenue that the cost to us is
