I would hope that if we spent 50m on a young up and coming striker that he wouldn't find the leap too hard to handle

All the new players they buy will no doubt have relegation clauses to leave Toon for a relatively low fee if they go down. The dream is they buy loads of expensive players, the get relegated and they all **** off in the summer

I am sure we could find a replacement up and coming young striker for 50m. I think Ings is exactly what Toon need now and I think we could make a real killing on selling Ings

I know it is not ideal from a footballing or planning perspective but I would really enjoy an exciting last day to a window where we sign a top class surprise player with about 10 seconds to go, and we need to wait an hour to get confirmation that the FA have received the paperwork.

I would have no issue him coming in as a starter. If he can justify playing before Mings or Konsa it just shows our improvement and we would have amazing strength in depth

Why would u like that:? Purslow et al are trying to make Villa better, so why would you like something that is contradictory to something that was previously stated? What is the motivation?

I don't think u have to worry about it, even if we sign him the likelihood is quite remote I suspect. I can't imagine a person getting a custodial sentence for a 1st offence (assuming Brighton did due diligence and he does not have a previous conviction) of touching someone in a nightclub

I think part of the job of the police is to undertake surveillance and to track potential suspect's movements, so that when they do want to arrest them, they know where they are as some suspect actually try to evade capture by the police. I don't know if this is the case here but equally I don't believe anyone on here knows

I agree, all new signings will have a relegation clause and will jump ship in the summer. They will have major FFP issues and they will no doubt be replacing Howe during the Oct Intl break. Norwich, Watford , Boro, Baggies, Forest, Sheff Utd will all be in contention next year. Toon will struggle until they find the right manager and then they will need to give him time. Their future is not as bright as some think -

They will probably go through 3 or 4 managers before they get out of the Championship
