  1. Cardiac arrest is when the heart stops beating, it is not when it no longer beats effectively and it is an electrical problem. The cause of the electrical problem could be due to different factors and these factors are considered when CE is deemed fit enough to play football again. There is zero possibility that CE's could be as a result of myocardial infarction. CE did not have a heart attack
  2. We also need to make the club as profitable as possible. This gives us the ability to continue to invest in future transfer windows. Selling Jack for 100m helped us become profitable and enabled the purchases of Buendia, Bailey, Ings and Coutinho. Selling SJM for 50m would be great for our profitability and would give us nice financial leverage in the transfer window
  3. Cardiac arrest is an electric problem, it is not a plumbing or mechanical problem with the heart.
  4. I suggested that a month or so ago and a few on VT had a bit of a bedwetting response
  5. Quite easy to do. Exclusion clause for death by cardiac arrest.
  6. The most important factor is if Gerrard would prefer to have the extra financial power in the transfer market that selling SJM would give us. The money would effectively be all profit as he cost so little. 50m profit would enable Gerrard to spend about 200m on transfers when amortised. Every single club sells players, it is what they do with the funds we receive that influences perception. Selling SJM and upgrading could be viewed as a very positive thing as opposed to us being a selling club
  7. I don't know, if Bruce rocks up at Goodison I wouldn't be too upset
  8. That's what you are meant to do isn't it. The instructions say 'Clear your cash(e)'
  9. Yeah, he was awful. But their old left back looked very good
  10. The fans are already turning on Howe so Rafa is a good shout and he has proven he can get them promoted from the Championship.
  11. I think the problem they have with trying to buy players is that the players simply don't want to play for them. Their facilities are tatty, they are at the infancy of a rebuilding project that will takes years, they will likely be relegated in May, they will go through 3 or 4 managers before they get it right and they will not pay 'silly' wages, the still have to comply with FFP. So for any player aged 25+, the next 5 years of football at Toon will be horrible. Compare that to the prospect of joining Villa; world class facilities, a PL team, hugely supportive owners and CEO and a young manager that wants to win stuff. All the players that Toon want can easily get jobs at clubs like Villa or clubs in the Champions League.
  12. Relegation certainly looks like its between the current bottom 4
  13. Personally I do not believe that. If any clubs gets offered a fee for a player and they are happy with the fee, I can't see them not selling. I would be pissed off with Purslow if he didn't accept a 50m+ fee for either Ollie or Ings from Toon. I agree re the untested foreign players. The problem Toom may have is that if they get any big name signings they are likely to have a relegation release clause which could really cause problems for them in the summer
  14. But it is what every other fan in the country expected. They are the only ones that (eventually) believed that Howe was the right man for the job and that they would be signing superstars. Everyone else could see they are a basket case of a team and are heading towards the Championship. I honestly believe they would have more points if they had stuck with Bruce.. He had done well to keep them in the PL and although the football was dire he would still pick up a few points. And for all Bruce's faults, he is reasonably sharp in the transfer market and I am sure would have brought in a couple of decent loan signings to help their cause
  15. Did u mean...scored first 10 times, and 1 win from that. that's absolutely beautiful
  16. I think we should ask Alan Hansen for his views on the matter
  17. He is evens fav to be the next Everton manager, but I do agree, he is not ready for the job but Everton have tried just about every other type of manager; Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Allardyce and Rafa. A Rooney type appointment hasn't been tried yet. I wouldn't suggest it if he wasn't an Everton lad
  18. It is football, constructive dismissal doesn't exist. If the club what Rooney gone it is a simple task. It happens all the time with players and managers. Have u ever seen or heard of a constructive dismissal case in football?
  19. Yes, good point, El Ghazi will be ineligible. I hope he doesn't get sacked until after we beat them too. Much more difficult game if he does get sacked before it. I think the Everton fans would prefer to see Big Dunc eyeballing Gerrard rather than Rafa embracing him and all smiles
  20. Yes, that is what I said. That is exactly what happens when a position becomes untenable.
  21. Twitter is saying he is gone and they are just agreeing the payment, thought to be 3m. Some saying announcement tonight, others saying Monday. If he goes the atmosphere will be unbelievable. Toffee fans will be elated. Big Dunc has passion and welcoming Gerrard, Coutinho and Digne will just add to it. It will be a very tough game
  22. And back to my post. If they tell him they don't want him his position becomes untenable. Yes, Rooney can dig his heals in and say he doesn't want to leave DCFC to manage in the Premier League for his boyhood team but that will not work out well for him at DCFC if he has been told DCFC does not want him
  23. Its not a different point. Did u read my comment? I said that the administrators manage the club and they would want a compensation package which has the benefit of getting a high wage of the payroll. If the administrators accept a package, if Everton want Rooney, they that is telling him they don't want him. The wage being paid by a sponsor will be paid to DCFC and not directly to Rooney. It s DCFC money
