I should have also said, there is lots I like about Bentacur, if we sign him I will be happy. But when u genuinely know F all about the guy it is very difficult to make a judgement, there is just so much conflicting information doing the rounds

I don't know this guy so I can't comment on where his natural position is but your comment is repeated by many on VT and other places and this is my biggest concern with signing Bentancur. If enough people are saying it the likelihood is that there is some substance to the comment.

Surely signing Glen Kamara would be brilliant for AVFC. We are not meant to question the players we buy for Villa as we are meant to have complete faith in whatever Gerrard decides to do. Well, at least that is what I have been told so I would imagine quite a lot of VT will be happy with Glen Kamara

There is a chance we could get rid of Coutinho before the window ends if Januzaj becomes available. We would take a financial hit but when certain opportunities in life present themselves u have to do everything possible to seize the moment and make it happen

Maybe the club want to see where we are in the summer and see how he fits in with Gerrard. If and a big if, we qualify for Europe and look like the next team to threaten the top 4 then Dougie may be easier to sign to a long term deal or maybe Gerrard might feel he wants to upgrade him

I don't see anyone forgetting what we have been through. There is a difference between ambition and entitlement. I want the club to be ambitious and to always strive to be the best we possibly can. There is no lack of humility with that approach. And we should be critical of the club if we feel that their actions are not right. This is a football forum for discussion about AVFC. It would be kind of boring if everyone came on everyday and said the club is brilliant and always does the right thing and every player we buy is the the right player for the club. Debating opinions is a healthy thing to do

We have moved on. We are a different club now with a high profile manager and rich owners who will to splash the cash. We should not be having a reality check to bring us back to where we were. We should look at where we are going

I have said that, based on what I have read I would prefer to sign Bissouma as I know what we would be getting with him but if we sign this guy I will be very happy to have filled a position we need to fill and to judge him based on his football for Villa. Its great that we are actually active in the market and not sitting back doing nothing.

I don't think the people on VT are like that. We just signed Coutinho. Like me, many have said we don't know this guy and whether he is any good or bad but there is a lot of negative stuff about him and there is nothing wrong with actually listening to the negative messages and querying if there is any validity to them
