    We didn't pay 18m for him, it was about 14m, I would expect we could rinse Toon for about 20m/25m. If you would refuse 40m for Targett I am very happy u are not looking after our transfer negotiations. 40m is stupid money for him and would never happen

    It looked like we were trying to sign Bentancur as our last transfer and it is reported that Spurs have agreed a deal for him. With only a little over a day of the TW left it is reasonable to think we are done. Gerrard has said if we can't get the players we want we will wait till the summer. Yes, we could still buy someone but it does look like we are done imo

    I agree is his a damn good player, I would love us to sign him. But Lange et al need to find the right players for us. Bissouma is the easy choice that fans will make, it would be nice to see Lange earn his salary and not go for the easy option

    We have spent about 450m in the last 3 or 4 years and are 11th. How much do u think Toon will spend and don't forget about the likely managerial changes they will have. Man Utd is a much bigger club with a much better baseline squad. They have spent 1Bn on players and 38m sacking managers since Alex left and they can't win the league. There is no chance Toon winning the league in 3/4 seasons

    There are more good players than we have rivals in the PL so lots of players for us to choose from. Losing out on a player that is flavour of the month on Twitter is not a concern imo.

    Sky reported this evening that Villa offered a loan for Bentancur with an option to buy. As we can no longer get any more loans in this would align with the message saying we inquired 2 weeks ago and haven't been back as we have since used our final loan spot
