    Would people be happy with Ben Brereton Díaz for about 20m/25m. Would that give us a worthwhile extra option next season or would it just be adding to the numbers and not offering much real value to us

    I was of the firm belief we need another striker this window, but the more i think about it the more I am coming to your way of thinking. I just can't see us being able to improve on what we have with the budget we are discussing. Unless we can get @RicRic in to the recruitment team and bring in Nunez for 40m

    And I stand by that, that doesn't mean I think our strikers are tremendous and can't be improved upon. Can u name some better strikers at that price range?

    I would happily sell them and try someone else, but for the 40m budget, there is not a single striker I think of that would be better. I am ruling out Mane and Ronaldo even though they are in that transfer fee budget. To move forward we need to move to the next level of striker. It is naive thinking that adding more of the same quality will move us forward

    I do agree we got our value from Trez. I would be happy enough to see him leave on a free but if we can get a million or two that would be great

    I don't claim to be too in the know on world football players but I can't think of one 40m striker that I think would be a significant improvement on what we have. I don't want to see us waste 35m on another average player. I would prefer to stick with Archer in the hope he turns into a worldie with a run of games

    I kind of agree, but I think we need to spend more on a striker. 60m+ and get someone really clinical. I think I would prefer to stay with what we have and introduce Archer to the 1st team rather than a striker of 30 to 45m. Maybe Timo Werner would be available at that price, I like him but he would still be a big risk.

    You say my comment makes no sense but then ask why would a club trying to compete with the likes of Liverpool sign a player that Liverpool just signed

    The difference is that our kids will be the next Messi, it is the fans of other clubs have got it wrong

    What difference does it make to Liverpool that he is already there? He is/was out of contract so a free agent, it is a new signing for Liverpool. Yes, it is easier for him to fit in and he has a place to live but the didn't need to offer him a new 1 year contract. They elected to do so to improve their team

    Mendez is the one that is reported to be trying to pull the strings to get Nico to leave Barca and they were refusing to sell

    I would like that but I think Barca see Nico as part of their future and won't let him leave

    He has looked good at times but he has also looked fairly poor. I haven't seen enough of him play but from what I have seen he would not be a player I would go for. He missed a few sitter in the last few games which could have kept Burnley up
