  1. Cucurella has gone from a world class LB that will be perfect for City into an over rated squad player on Bluemoon forum in the space of about 40 pages
  2. I could be wrong but I don't think Chilwell has played a game since his injury. After coming back from an ACL there will be a lot of nervousness and uncertainty. I suspect Cucurella will be 1st choice to start off with and then if/when Chilwell returns we will gradually come in as back up to Cucurella and then become competition for the place in the team.
  3. Sorry, jjust realised i wrote Everton twice
  4. Yep, they struggled last season and have sold Richy and brought in McNeil. who has 7 goals in 134 PL games.
  5. I wouldn't' object to Potter as Villa manager, it wouldn't excite me and nor would I sack Gerrard to get him in but in time, if he became our manager I would be happy enough. I would sack Gerrard if I could get Pochettino in as manager
  6. Yeah, I can see the bottom 6/7 for most the season as Bournemouth, Fulham, Forest, Brighton, Everton, Leeds and Everton
  7. Cucurella in advanced talks with Chelsea. Losing him and Bissouma in the same window is a big loss of quality and their man to find these players is no longer with the club to help replace them. Is that one less team to worry about next season
  8. The funny thing is that if AEG was in the squad and participating in pre season Gerrard would be getting a bashing for not addressing that weakness in our squad or not using the newer more talented players that the club has invested in. I have nothing against AEG, he was perfect for us at the time we needed and he helped us win promotion and stay in the PL and I am very grateful. I assume he is also grateful for the 6m+ we have paid him during that period too. But it is now time to move on.
  9. Using the reason El Ghazi should be in the 1st team reckoning as a bat to beat Gerrard with over poor management has to be your best one yet.
  10. HaHaHa, too close to the truth for me to pick it up as a joke
  11. How is it a lack of respect. The management clearly don't rate him enough to be part of our playing squad. There is nothing disrespectful about that. If they are not part of the team they should not be involved in the team. That is just basic management.
  12. Its not that we hate it, we are jealous of it and make out we hate it and claim we don't want to be one of those teams. We all know we want AVFC to buy their way to the top 6 and Champions League football and be one of those teams.
  13. Man City want Leon Bailey and are offering Grealish in part exchange
  14. Dissent is a yellow, I wish refs gave more yellows for it in the PL
  15. I agree, I think we would be looking elsewhere than that type of profile.
  16. That is some wage bill to be trying to offload
  17. Yeah, I expect we got our main business done and dusted in May / June. There are probably another couple of additions that SG would like but we are not desperate to get them in and will not pay over the odds / we have to work within a more strict budget. So, imo, we will see some activity in the last week of the window and will pick up a bargain if one becomes available, if not, we have our squad for next season
  18. I never once saw we had submitted a bid, it was all just the normal media rhetoric. If we had submitted a bid they I assume it would have been made known as he had a relatively low release clause and the club would have been obliged to accept the bid
  19. I agree and there is also the extremely important financial aspect. We need to keep our financials within FFP and give us wiggle room for future transfer windows. This must play a huge role in transfer decisions which none of us have an understanding of.
  20. Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. We do not know what is going on behind the scenes but many are happy to jump on the bandwagon of the club messed up.
  21. The Alvarez transfer is the one I find most amusing. I love the naivety of believing we could have just signed Alvarez for 17m if we just acted more quickly in Jan. All media were covering that he was available, all media were reporting his goal scoring record and potential. To think that Man City weren't aware and hadn't been in contact with him is a joke. The discourse on here by some is that we messed up by delaying things and City saw what we were at and came in and snapped him up.
  22. All valid points to support my argument or all valid point of instances where the fans know better (and have a full understanding of the facts) than the management team at AVFC?
  23. - We should have bought Alvarez in Jan - We can't sell players - We shouldn't sell Targett for 15m - We shouldn't loan Targett to Toon - The players SG is buying are too old - Bomb squad etc
