  1. Why would u say we are not on an upward trajectory? We have come up from the Champoionship, established ourselves in the PL and we are investing in every single aspect of the club. What else could we possibly do to show we are on an upward trajectory? Bear in mind, the only reason we would be talking to Poch is if we are sacking our current manager. That means we would not be performing onb the field and would also show the ambition of the club as it would show believe we should be doing better
  2. Maybe reputation wise but money and ambition wise I would say we are clear leaders
  3. Thx, that is probably only 4 or 5 games away, that may be a few too little to let SG prove himself, maybe he has till WC break. The WC break would be a perfect time to bring in a new manager as it would give him a good bit of time with. most of the squad and he could have a mini pre season
  4. I can't see how Leicester could attract Poch. He will want a club on an upward trajectory and he will also expect a large transfer kitty imo. Leicester can offer neither of these
  5. Is there an international break this season like there was last season? I assumed that it was cancelled as we were finishing for the WC in mid Nov but I suppose there maybe more waste of time friendlies
  6. Do you really think our CEO is the person that decided which players we want to sign. I would think he takes advice from Lange and Gerrard and then once they are both happy will would approve the financials and if the financials don't work then the transfer doesn't happen.
  7. I would have taken that if offered before the Bournemouth game
  8. If we keep losing then SG will be fired. Replacement is always a tough one, particularly midseason. My dream would be Poch and he is currently on the dole so he may be appreciative of some employment. But other than that I expect Critchley would get a run at it
  9. Do you not get the point I made? I said I would enjoy an exciting deadline day where we dominated Sky. I am sure there are many Villa fans feel similar. I have always felt like this and I doubt that will ever change. Stop trying to turn this into something it isn't.
  10. I don't understand what u are basing that on, there are many reasons why a club may leave things or may be forced to leave things till the last day. Either way, my comment was about me wanting to enjoy a deadline day of excitement but well done for turning it into a way to have a pop at the club
  11. I would take 'a' with the caveat that I would sack Gerrard today if we could get Poch in as manager
  12. I wonder was this real at all or was this @CarryOnVilla getting lucky with one of his tweets going viral
  13. This was just a taster for the fun we have ahead of us on deadline day. We have never had an exciting deadline day like some clubs and 'Arry have had. I really would enjoy Villa dominating deadline day on Sky, maybe this is the year
  14. As they are both reporting the same thing, I think it is safe to believe both of them. My comment was posted to endorse what u had posted as you were asked for a link, as I quoted a different source to the same information.
  15. Unless the add ons were for extra mins on the bench I doubt they were triggered
  16. Sky reported that Sarr was due to have a medical today
  17. Your obsession with me is moving on past being flattering, I don't think I have had a stalker before
  18. If true, then fair play to the club for walking. Can we compare ourselves to City with Cucurella?
  19. This thread has been very funny. First half of the thread has been moaning about Gerrard saying we shouldn't sign Sarr Second half is moaning about how we are an embarrassment not buying Sarr The 'NSWE won't spend any money or back Gerrard' appear to be kicked to touch It will be more fun if Sarr signs for Palace and the meltdown on here that we missed a great opportunity
  20. Sky saying Watford wanted Hause and Archer as part of the deal. Maybe there was a miscommunication on which direction the 25m was going
  21. So Sky is saying the deal broke down over the amount Watford wanted
  22. It was never actually confirmed he was going but the same sources, which appear reliable enough, are saying the potential deal is now off
  23. So u think the manager should not have a final say on the players in his squad. We will need to agree to differ on that
  24. I agree with that, but Gerrard got a huge amount of slagging off on here for not knowing what he was doing, even NSWE were accused of being clueless. Now, if it turns out we were interested in him and Gerrard is the one that said No, we don't need a winger, that is not how we play, will those posters acknowledge that?
