It would be nice but I don't think we will be spending big money on potential until we have the 1st team squad properly sorted for a push to Europe. Our investment in potential is clearly focused on the youth and the circa 1m fee

15m sounds like chump change. That's the cost of a bench player these days and he is, as you say quality, and could be a 1st XI player for many years to come. Even though we have youth players coming through we can always sell on some players at a profit

But it is our senior players getting injured / sick. Signing more won't help as the currently injured / sick players will be in the 25. The club is clearly trying to sell Hourihane and I am sure they will accept a bid for any of the fringe players. But we need a club to want to buy them

What are the advantages of making it public? Surely keeping his cards close to his chest is the better strategy

Good job we invested in some quality strength in depth this summer. Young, Tuanzebe, Emi B and Ings all starting. We would be threadbare without them.

No need to worry. It is fake news. We have Davis coming back from injury (he is getting lots of practice at this particular skill) and once he is back we will have Ings, Ollie and Davis. Mbappe wouldn't even get on the bench

I never said Tammy can't improve. I was just saying Ings is currently a better striker. When people like certain players the narrative tends to become very defensive when they are the topic of conversation

It was in a discussion saying that Tammy would have been a better buy than Ings. I was just highlighting that Ings is currently a better goal scoring option to Tammy for Villa, nothing more.
