  1. I thought he would be out of their budget. That would kinda piss me off if they got him
  2. Although that may be the sensible thing to do it is no fun for the fans wanting to see Sky outside Bodymoor with cars with blackened out windows going in and waiting to hear if the fax was received by 11:00 or if it was too late. We want the yellow ticker to be saying lots about Aston Villa.
  3. We can probably rule out about 12 PL clubs so that gives us a 1 in 8 chance of it being us. Get him in
  4. So u agree that we have not improved and then say that we only need a dip in form from our GK and we will struggle to pick up enough points for top half. Top half would be an improvement on last season. So if we don't have a dip in form then we should finish top half? Isn't this an improvement on last year?
  5. He may be pissed off that Villa fans are looking for the club to sign a new DM
  6. I could see Brighton accepting £45m for Bissouma. It would be nicer if they accepted 45m + Nakamba for Bissouma
  7. Although I would like to keep Freddie at the club it is clear that he is not in Smith's thoughts. To get Wes, Conor and Freddie out on loan during the last few days of the window is good work from the people involved. Deadwood hanging around collecting wages is a cancer on a club
  8. That is the one reason there could be a twinkle of signing him today. Next summer Bissouma will have 12 months left and could leave Brighton on the cheap. They could command 60m for him today
  9. More likely a Villa in Spain during the international break
  10. We did get our loan from Chelsea spot on about this time 3 years ago. Forever grateful for Bruce for that and huge affection for Tammy. He was key to our promotion
  11. Dan James 25m to Leeds. Leon Bailey 25m-30m to Villa. I know which transfer excites me more
  12. I always thought he looked okay and had some potential. I like his ability to go forward but he wasn't great at tracking back and he needed help there which is something that can be thought and something he should be able to improve
  13. I really think that could be a mistake but there is clearly something wrong with the relationship between Freddie and Smith
  14. There is always a chance we could get a big offer (big as in relative to the player's worth) for El Ghazi or Nakamba. If we do we may want to take it and try and push through a quick plan B that we will no doubt have if such a scenario comes about
  15. And at the same time we will be blooding our youth into the first team. In all my years following Villa this is something Villa fans have dreamed of. Now we have it and its doom and gloom
  16. I would love him on loan or a 2 year deal but not longer than that. As we can't get him on loan and he would be a fool to sign a 2 year contract I don't expect us to get him
  17. I am guessing he would want 4 years and 100k+. He may be great for a couple of years but I think we would be desperately trying (and failing) to move him on after that
  18. At his age I expect contract term and salary will be a key consideration. This would be his last chance for a very lucrative move
  19. Most of us, probably all of us, do not know the full strategy the club has with our transfers. Some people are accepting that as CP and NSWE have hardly put a foot wrong in 3 years that a strategy we are unaware of may actually exist. Developing youth and fiscal management are key aspects of the strategy and people do not understand how these are specifically impacting our transfers. Simply saying that the club is missing an opportunity or suggesting we buy certain players may be contrary to the club's strategy and some people appear not to appreciate this.
  20. If we could get him for about 15m it would be a nice surprise
  21. And when Villa sign Rice for 80m tomorrow evening they will be bang average
