Looking at the odds for our next manager the names haven't changed since Dean left and the odds are more or less the same. That tells me the bookies know as much as I do which is **** all
Purslow was at Liverpool with the objective of selling the club. He massively cut costs, sacked Rafa and got Woy in to steady the ship without spending money to reduce expenditure as it would be effectively dead money for the owners. Purslow put Gerrard's career on hold and probably cost him the chance to win the PL with Liverpool. I can't see any love in there
I don't see how you can think Gerrard matches the ambition which NSWE, CP and Dean in his statement say the club has. What is it that makes him match our ambition to build a Premier League club into a top 4/6 team that is competing in European football
That is a good point. I am feeling less Gerrard anxiety now. The club said what they want and Gerrard does not have the CV to deliver it. Yes he could be brilliant but I don't think he is what we are looking for
Top half is realistic I think. We have the makings of a bloody good squad and a fresh approach can work wonders. Also, any perspective manager worth his salt will have said I need Xm in Jan for a player for a particular position as I have analysed Villa and that is what they/we need
I agree, I wouldn't read anything negative into someone negotiating with Levy, I actually see it as a positive. Remember Levy offered us 3m and a pack of Toffos for Jack, he is a tight shunt
