  1. I think Spurs will come good under Conte. He has the best ever start of any Spurs manager in their history. Yes they are poor today but they have been playing some lovely football since he joined. They were the better team against Liverpool.
  2. Party boy is a completely different risk tho and I think clubs feel they can manage that type of situation better. It the the other stuff that it a red line I think. Maybe I am wrong on this but it is just the way I see it. Too many clubs have got stung big time with this. Yes, this is an extreme example but City are still paying Mendy's wages and will not see anything back on the 57m transfer fee. The only option they will have (if he is found guilty) is to pursue a case against him directly to claim money back. Its a situation no club wants to get into imo
  3. I think potential buyers from big clubs would be concerned about it. It would be a big money transfer and lengthy and big contract. Clubs don't like too much risk and I think they would look for an alternative player without the baggage. I appreciate there may be no substance to the claims but when the numbers are so big I think clubs will look for less perceived risk
  4. Regardless of the outcome of the court case I think the big clubs would steer clear. Rightly or wrongly, I think this is something that will impact his potential moves throughout his career
  5. Its coming close to time for Watford to change manager, they may wait till Feb 1st so they don't need to promise transfer funds to the new man for this window
  6. It is on Premier 1 HD for me (Ireland), games that are on Premier 1 are always on Amazon in the UK, did u try there?
  7. Yeah, it is not nice. This fixture does have its moments. Adebayor's celebration should have received a few game ban imo
  8. Yes 50% but still only 4 more fouls and no bias, neither team got booked.
  9. 64% possession to our 36% and neither side got any yellows. They had 12 fouls to our 8.
  10. A lot of their 'rub of the green' is a bit like Gary Player. The more he practices the luckier he gets. The fact that they are such a good footballing team pushed the opposition to take more risk and hence they get more fouls and pens etc
  11. And the full in-game VAR experience is much better for the fans. We are kept in the loop of what is happening and it appears less intrusive to the overall game
  12. It was soft, but Xhaka made it an easy call. No shirt pull and I expect no pen. Stupid by Xhaka
  13. That's the big problem. They should make it more like cricket and rugby where the decision making is clear and open to everyone to hear. There should also be retrospective punishments for Refs, like yellow cards and after a certain amount they get a ban. With no consequences for the Refs there is going to be inconsistencies
  14. If Villa had these scenarios happen in a game everyone on here would be calling for a pen and a red card
  15. Again, if Xhaka didn't pull his shirt it would not be a pen. It is the Arsenal players fault for stupid play and not the ref
  16. He hasn't. He scuffed the pen spot and got a yellow. If he didn't do this he would still be on the pitch. Ref had no choice. Stupid indiscipline by Arsenal.
  17. It may be a soft pen, but he does pull his shirt so it is a pen. The clear & obvious is just a load of BS imo
