The good old days of professionals running our club (+++)/*=？?

I think our transfers since NSWE have been good. We are never going to get a 100% hit rate of success and you can't foresee serious injury and particularly 2 expensive players in the same game. But I think a lot of our players will have increased in value. Nakamba, Luiz, Ollie, AEG, Konsa, Cash, Martinez and Mings are probably all up in value. Hause, Guilbert and Engels were cheap anyway and we will probably get our money back. Targett and Trez are the clear losers from a valuation perspective and I am not considering Heaton or Wes due to the horrific injuries. Bailey, Buendia and Ings are too early to comment on yet but I suspect that Toon would jump at Ings if we offered him to them for 30m which would be a 5m profit for us

If fairness to Villa and NSWE our approach has always been professional, we have been very tight lipped about our transfer business since they arrived. Any leaks appear to have come from the player's agent / club rather than Villa.

Acceptance now I think Gerrard knows exactly who he wants at the club and who he doesn't want. I am hoping the list of Don't wants isn't longer than the list of wants. And listening to the presser the other day it sounds like he knows exactly who he wants to bring to the club. The future is bright

Its like a bit of banter with your mates in the pub and with Covid for the last couple of years I have really missed that

I don't think u guys were at risk of going down. Norwich are down. Toon should be down but there is always the wildcard they may buy Messi and Ronaldo and Mbappe in Jan (or some other mad window) but I expect they will be play Chumps football next season. Then there is only one place left and I think there are multiple teams that will occupy that spot before Bees. U are nailed on for another season in the PL. TF is doing a good job

I understand that, I don't think any fan does. But coming on to a different clubs forum and posting a comment like that does you no favours and makes u just as bad as the condescending fans. Welcome to our forum though, if u are nice to people then people tend to be nice back

Its funny when an opposing fan comes on after beating us to try and rub our noses in it and ends up looking like a complete tool and endorses the tinpot tag

If u think that was a good performance by your team I would be worried. Yes, you won the game but you needed a big helping hand from Villa and looked quite poor to be honest. You were fortunate u got an even worse performance from Villa's defence. And yes, we have given u 40m for Konsa and Ollie and if we were to sell both of them in this window we would get a lot more than 40m, so thanks for selling us players on the cheap. But I guess it is difficult for small clubs to be able to hold on to players when the big boys come calling.

I like Sanson, Traore and Mings but I think if we got suitable offers it would be better for Villa to take the cash and upgrade. Traore is such skilful player but I don't think he is a great player for a team and doesn't really suit Villa imo. He doesn't get enough game time either and as such is not match fit and makes silly passing erors. Sanson just hasn't worked out here and if we got a bid I wouldn't miss him. I know Mings is the controversial one but I think we would get most money for him this year, he will only go down in value from now on and for all his good points I want a CB that is less error prone. I too like Luiz and have my doubts about him. I would like to see him play a half a season in front of a good strong DM. I think he could be a very good player in that setup

We would have been better today if we had Mings on the pitch but I would prefer an upgrade to Mings, hence why I said if we get a suitable offer.

Depression has kicked in now. Give it a bit of time and u will see us for what we actually are. We will definitely finish midtable this season and should be in contention for a top half finish

If we are going to invest heavily in the summer we will need to shift some players on. We are very heavy in numbers and just can't keep adding to it. AEG, Trez and Hause should be definite exits. Traore, Targett, Sanson and Mings; we should listen to suitable offers and get upgrades on anyone that leaves

On a positive, we got that monkey off our back of never losing under Gerrard against a team outside the top 3

Why do so many people judge us on 60 mins and not on more games. It was the same when Smith was sacked, people failing to appreciate how bad we were for a year. We have had a great start under SG, we are missing Mings, Bailey, Ollie, Marv and others and we were largely the better team but played poorly and defended badly and now our squad needs a complete rebuild.

I always find it amusing when players turn on the amateur dramatics to try and win a pen, surely Trez knows that VAR will check it and the everyone will just laugh at his stupidity and attempt to cheat

With a proper CB instead of Hause and a match fit player instead of Traore and that would be a different outcome imo
