yeah so how long are we willing to wait for him? we do still have a couple of winnable games after sunday before the WC

I mean I’ve no idea, if it was between dyche now or Emery at the World Cup break I’d still take Emery

When do Villa ever give signals, we are the most covert club in football.  It’s brilliant but it’s bloody frustrating!

Exactly this! This is why I think Emery but that may be wishful thinking

All the links are just media guesswork and reacting to the betting markets. We could all chuck a £1 on Simeone to get the job and I’m sure the Birmingham Mail would run with it. Just ignore the noise.

    ITK?

It’ll be interesting to see if we do hear whispers or will Villa be able to do one of their magical announcements where it comes out of the blue at some point.

The whispers of emery on here/twitter and the lack of press regarding him to Villa makes me think he’s the guy

The Poch odds are going the other way at quite a fast rate. 😢

You’d expect this though, the market is so small and people will see value in the likes of emery.

Won’t take a huge amount of money on other candidates to lengthen his odds

Coral's betting on our next boss is Poch 4/5, Beale 5/1, Tuch 5/1, Dyche 8/1, Frank 16/1, Bielsa 16/1, Hassenhuttl 20/1 and JT 33/1. What about Emery, Rafa, Nuno, Rooney, Vieira, Kompany, Jose, Zidane, Joachim Low, John Eustace or Dwight Yorke! ;)

    Emery is 6/1 with skybet

I’d really like Emery. I like his style and he has great experience and results. Let’s be fair though, I won’t be disappointed with Poch!

I think both of those may be slightly out of reach which is why we’re now seeing names like Frank linked, which are potentially more realistic.

Of course, we may face similar problems to Wolves who have clearly struggled to get someone in to manage them. Perhaps the managers aren’t out there or don’t want to move yet. We may have to have a temporary manager until after the World Cup. I very much hope not as that break is a superb opportunity for a new manager to work with the squad.

Wolves are probably offering a salary of a Kit Kat and a bag of skips, plus asking managers to almost exclusively rely on mendes signings

Agreed. Downside is it can all be either click bait shit flinging from journos or a 'oyster, mate I need some morale lifting articles published, you up for it'-shenanigans from the club just to keep the wolves at bay.

I swear to God, these guys plants fake stories sometimes just to be in the news or 'send a message'.

    Time will tell.

Not saying it’s true or not but I’d hope the fact Matt Law is a Villa fan means he wouldn’t put his name to article of that type.

On the topic of Matt Law, he did post a cryptic ‘🤔’ tweet over the last week

You've normally had a bit of a line into the inner workings of the club... (Although I could be getting you confused with someone else) Hopefully this is true.

    I think you’re correct…

I’ve disagreed with a lot you’ve said recently but this is a good post! I don’t agree with all of it but fair dues.

Too mature for this forum, I think a ban is in order mods?
