The Stoke forum seems to think it wasn’t a loan as to not take up one of their loan slots. Probably agreeable to both parties as we wanted rid of him.
Surely someone else could've loaned him to avoid us taking a hit, maybe something else is at play though...

How much did we get for him?
I imagine nothing...

Crystallising a £4.4m loss isn’t ideal for FFP, I wonder why we didn’t just loan him out again?

Never argue with an idiot. You'll never convince the idiot that you're correct, and bystanders won't be able to tell who's who.

I still can’t believe that a comment was made here rating JWP higher than Dougie and calling him overrated…
Wasn't there a Brentford/Everton fan who posted here who seemed to have a vendetta against Dougie?

Saw that really odd link considering how stacked we are at DM. We’re not paying €30m for a squad player.
Yeah I don’t believe the link but if true, we are aiming way higher than I thought.
Media seems to link us with everyone so I’m sure it’s just that.

Need a backup RB and GK. Don't think anything else is achievable or realistic.
We won't be buying a striker as good or better than Watkins with the budgets we have left.
Loan to buy is the route I think we will take for another attacker, Ferran Torres late in the window possibly

I think this is on, 21 years old a Belgium international made his debut at 18 predominately a right and left sided winger but can play central has had his fair share of injures but I think that’s something we could manage and help him with he wouldn’t be a nailed on starter here and we could integrate him gradually manage his workload. He’s a special talent.
Stop being so sensible, he’s either crippled or gonna win the ballon D’or

The clause may also only apply to teams in the UCL for example…

Tbh, it’s about £43m as of now, and I think £45-47m (€55-57m) will be the final fee. We will have to pay for quality and I'm sure Diaby absolutely ticks those boxes. Especially given the negotiations remain ongoing.
Which Sky Sports will report as £65m no doubt

Collymore once tweeted a photo of himself with Jack’s dad falsely suggesting Jack was staying. He always tweets nonsense then deletes it.
ahhh yes, i do remember that now!

Collymore doesn't have a clue or any inside knowledge, that's what I'll take from it.
I'm sure he's had some info in the past but wouldn't be able to tell you what it was now!

So apparently Stan Collymore has just tweeted and deleted pictures of both Felix and Lukaku (i managed to get a screenshot of the Lukaku posting).
Now replaced with a photo of 2 lions...

What’s mad about this compilation is, if this were a player we were linked with in the German/Spanish league, we’d be at 50 pages already and spotting planes.
I’d love it if Emery kept him round the squad this year.
Maybe not the right thread for this but you'd think between what he, Archer and Ramsey showed last season, Championship teams would be begging to take our other youngsters on loan

Hopefully he gets his permanent move this summer. Decent player, unfortunately couldn’t stay fit for the first couple of years and now the level of our midfield is simply beyond his capabilities imo.
Maybe a loan with obligation to buy to help bank some FFP profit in the future

Would be delighted with Felix on loan.
Cant see it due to the financials though, but you never know. Especially if he gets to the end of August with very few options.
Would we wait that long though? Let's say we are in for both Johnson and Diaby, both expensive deals that I imagine we would want tied up ASAP.

If we got both we'd have frightening pace that we've been crying out for, for years

Yeah but then it didn’t make sense because that was my first thought because why Robin Hood ie Forest + 20….what does the plus 20 mean then? That’s when I went to the Archer thought.
20 is Brennan Johnsons number at Forest

The last time a manager was backed to get CL was MON, who ended up buying the likes of Marlon Harewood and Steve Sidwell with the money to push for top 4! How times have changed!
Hard to think of a name more synonymous with the Champions League than Marlon Harewood in all fairness
