Were Pau and Zaniolo in the previous squads?

The fact that no numbers are being mentioned makes me think we’re giving him away just to get his wages off the books.

Is his move still happening?

How is his surname pronounced? Long-lay?

Loan with option to buy is perfect. Adds the depth at CB we lost with the Mings injury. 

Those Ings and Chambers tweets were literally only about an hour or so before the club announced on the website. Hardly a major coup.

Because we haven’t signed anyone without hearing the links for days/weeks on end for a long time, not under the current regime anyway. I think Moreno moved fairly quickly but even that took longer than 4 days. 
 

There are just no solid links at the moment. Acuna was the last one but we’ve seemingly opted to stay with Digne.

Theres always the possibility, as others have pointed out, that players who we’ve had a long standing interest in but haven’t been too interested in us might give us the green light in the final days. Honestly though, I can see Coutinho departing and us going with what we’ve got until Jan. Wouldn’t be my choice as I think we need more depth but they’ve shown they’d rather go light than make a signing just to make up the numbers.

Maybe that’s great, or maybe our 11 bring in more than their 25 and don’t want to be have their coverage diluted that much. Don’t know.

I’m kind of fine with not signing anyone else (although can’t lie would have liked any of a new back up goalie, RB, CB or forward), I just really don’t want any drama with any clubs coming in for any of our key players and unsettling them.

Brentford putting in a rival bid for Brennan Johnson. I think the player would want Spurs but Forest are going to encourage a bidding war.
