GD is so tight with Spurs, even a 1-0 loss isn't that bad
Agree, whilst we don’t suit parking the bus, I do think we need be cagey in our approach for this reason.

I think Konsa has had a couple of yellows for petulant type behaviour hasn’t he? Definitely Dougie has. It’s a lesson we don’t seemed to have learned as the season has gone on either.
That said it infuriates me when I see other players getting away with similar behaviour knowing we have players close to suspension for having been booked for those offences.

Honestly, I think we’ll finish 5th. Spurs have the slightly easier run and we have more games to play. I won’t care at all as long as 5th gets CL, this is the most crucial thing of all and we do have a partial say in that.

They seem to be getting stick for how bad they were in front of goal today, particularly Haaland. Not sure that bodes well for us to be honest.

The negative comments about the dullness of the game are quite comical, tbh.
I mean, it's not like we haven't looked dull in certain games. Forest was one that definitely stands out.
Yes but that was not overly hyped up in advance.

Let’s hope we’re still saying the same on Thursday morning.

Can’t help but feel a bit sorry for him but this should be a cautionary tale for players making moves to big clubs. His career would have been undeniably better had he not moved to city
Yeah, they’ve chewed him up and spat him out (or are trying to, he’ll be back there in the summer).

He played well when he came on for the most part, but I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance he will be signed, he simply hasn't shown enough to justify the tranfer fee and taking up a place in our squad when we could sign someone more useful. Hopefully he can continue to play well so at least he's remembered fondly
I agree, if we signed him permanently on the basis of a few good performances amongst some really dodgy ones then I think we would regret it in the same way we regret Coutinho.

I presume he is saving Digne for City but we need to make sure we don’t lose this one.

Ffs Rogers, know when to pass it.

Ollie took a touch too many.

Moreno needs to come off. Confidence has gone.

Emi you’re a god.

Not liking the sound of some 18 year old starlet making his first start for them. Let’s not make him a hero.

Brilliant game, I don’t actually care who wins.

It’s kind of funny but he actually did nothing wrong there.

**** hate this lot. Ridiculous how we can beat teams like Brighton, Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle with semi-regularity but these pricks we've beaten like twice in Premier League in the last 15+ years. Hell in that time period we've got more wins against Man United and just as many against Man City in the PL, and they are two notorious bogey teams.
That’s actually nuts when you think about it. We are so due a win against these.

Sorry, I don't get it. He's walked off the pitch too quickly. What does that mean?
He means slowly. Despite being 5-1 up he had to be ordered off the pitch when being subbed.

I think the family are asking that he’s not mourned before he’s actually died. I get that. My mum died from Alzheimer’s last year, it’s an incredibly cruel disease that is not just about memory but functioning and mobility. However, those affected can live contentedly for some years in specialist care homes. My mum only lasted just over a year once she could no longer live at home but many survive much longer.

Also, as I've said before, we're a football club not the National Trust. We don't need to getting into the business of preserving crumbling stately homes that serve no footballing purpose.
That’s a really unpleasant view point to be honest. Aston Villa should absolutely re respectful of heritage and rare beauty to be found in the locality. Aston Hall and Villa Park are just about the only decent features of a deprived area, they should stand side by side. Not to mention that the park is well used by the community.
The plans they had to build a new stand were fine but they’ve canned them for whatever reason. I’d also be open to a move but that doesn’t look likely either. The plan to add 3k more seats doesn’t look particularly feasible.
Looks like they’re going to let Villa Park become slowly more outdated and limited. A bit like Old Trafford but without the capacity.

I’m no expert but surely if the hamstring scan shows a “small injury”, he’s unlikely to be back for the weekend either. Unai was equally dismissive of the Ramsey injury yet we’ve not seen him since. Hopefully, I’m wrong and he’s fighting fit for Brentford. What do you think @Deano & Dalian's Umbrella?
