He honestly won’t want to go, unless the money he is being offered is astronomical (even then he would be extremely reluctant)
What makes you say that?

Being linked strongly with citeh again today.
If they come in for him dont think we will stop him and i think he will want to go. I personally think he will flop there because jacks going to have change his own game and cant do what he wants on the pitch like he can here. He wont be the star player there just another name and has ti accept he will be benched a lot like pep does with a lot of his squad.
If its citeh 100m. That 100m could really help us build a really strong squad if he were to go
I agree with most of that. As much as I would love to keep him, City are going to be winning most trophies for the next few years, we are making good progress but are nowhere near them. The good thing about City wanting him (if true) is that I don’t think they will mess us around on price. Our biggest problem then would be, that every other club we’re trying to purchase from will add a Grealish tax to every potential signing.

Pretty sure they did in his first game. I recall Jack providing him with loads of the ball and Kane doing f all with it.
I can’t remember the specifics but I remember that they had no chemistry whatsoever. It’s a shame Jack is not in this squad to build that relationship.

Maybe not!

This is actually like watching post Covid Villa.

I think we’ll win 4-0. This is a pretty strong side. Foden, Kane x2 and Mount to score.

I mean full credit to sticking to your guns but this is brilliant.
Don’t know what is amusing, he’s spot on.

Odegaard is settling in nicely at Arsenal. I think they will sign him permanently rather than go after Jack. Can’t see Spurs or Liverpool stumping up the cash. Not sure where he’d fit in at United. Which leaves Man City, hopefully they will decide better options are available cheaper abroad. If they do want him tho, I think he’d go without a second thought, I’m not sure Id blame him either.

I've found it strange this season that our goal stats from midfielders is so poor.
Both McGinn and Luiz clearly have goals in their game, but both of them rarely shoot and when they do it rarely troubles the keeper.I agree. Maybe because we channel so many of our attacks down the wings, not sure really. A bit disappointed that more goals aren’t coming from defence either, would love to see a couple of goals from Targett and Cash before the season is out.

Really good interview
I’ve just watched this, it’s great. He genuinely really loves the club and is so proud of the progress we’ve made and the clubs ambition.

We’ve just given him a bumper new contract haven’t we? It will be an awkward conversation to ask the owners for a shed load of cash to finance an alternative. I suppose strength in depth will be a key phrase.

After Bamford’s goal and assist last night, I think Watkins performance will be scrutinised. I really want him to do well and prove any doubters wrong.

This is either going to be a really good time to play them or a really bad time.
Can’t work it out either! They’re fuming and humiliated so it might give them a massive kick up the arse or they might be knackered and dejected. I think it will be obvious which way they’re going to go from the first 5 mins.

er, you do know which muppet is the England manager right?
I'll be amazed if he is in the squad. Not down to him as he is a Rolls Royce defender. Southgate is going to pick all the usual suspects led by wedge head and Stones will be the 'surprise' pick.
Harry Maguire is playing well at the moment as is John Stones (although it will be interesting to see how he gets on without Dias beside him). It’s Eric Dier’s continual presence that annoys me.

FFS we lose Barkley to hamstring and don't see him again for two months...Son will be running around like a madman v us 7 days after pulling up v Arsenal.
Mourinho will probably risk it aswell as he's been called up by South Korea for their friendly next week so they can just say after the game he pulled up again and pull him out of the squad.
Didn't he score those two goals v us last season with a dislocated shoulder?
A fractured arm but yes.

Maybe it's one of those Grealish injuries
That’s what I’m hoping...maybe Jose will be seeing if he can start training on grass in the coming days, if he’s very unlucky there might be a short period of illness that will set him back.

Apparently Son injury not as bad as first thought and is now 50-50 for the game against us. Getting assessed throughout the week.

So. Many. Times.
This properly made me laugh but on the flip side, December was a terrible month for me personally and Villa were one of the things that actually brought me some joy. Their lapse in form has coincided with things settling down for me but they were there when I needed them

If Jack wasn't Jack, EMI would 100 percent probably be my Captain pick.
Tyrone?
Not a fan of GK captains myself, no matter how fabulous they may be. Potentially too far from the action.

I’m watching City v Southampton, a game where Ederson is actually having to do some work for once and not looking that special...Martinez deserves that golden glove.

Mings may well have improved but Konsa is still the better player imo.
I could easily see him slotting in alongside Maguire for Man U next season, after Jack and Martinez he's the most likely to go in the summer.
I think the fact that play regularly with each other helps them both in terms of their Euro chances. I think Southgate would recognise the advantage of having a ready made partnership at his disposal, even if they are not first choice. The troubles that Liverpool have had this season are partly due to the amount of different CB pairings they have gone through.

It’s a nice thread but how he can say that Konsa is going under the radar I don’t know. You’ve got Carragher waxing lyrical about him and already England and transfer rumours have started. I wish he was more under the radar to be honest.

MOTM again
He pulled off a class save but wasn’t man of the match as he wasn’t involved that much. Konsa/Mings for me or even Trez and Ollie did some great work.
