Doesnt suprise me in the slightest. The going went a lil tough and targett wanted out.

I just rewatched the watford game and jesus was targett absolutely awful or what

I felt that one was on Smith. From recollection, Targett had been carrying and injury and had barely any pre season. Was in no way fit to start a game against a club who had been in pre season for weeks. Smith made totally the wrong team choices for that one.

i think you'll be surprised. everyone is absolutely raging about this...on par with a certain man utd player recently

when stuff like this happens i do pop onto the team in question's forum to see what their fans are saying. a very large number of west ham fans want his contract torn up with many saying they wont go to any games for as long as he's still there

Maybe, but think the Met have already said they’re not going to investigate, West Ham have said they’re dealing with it internally.
I hope you’re right as I very much doubt it’s an isolated incident and is a red flag for other aggressive behaviours but we’ll see, West Ham have the chance to take the moral high ground but at a massive financial cost to themselves.

  3. It’s disgusting but I’ll be amazed if he gets any long term punishment from West Ham. He’ll probably get a police caution, fined by club, maybe miss one match, give a big donation to an animal charity, have to give up his cats, that will probably be the end of it.

I reckon it will go away quite quickly bar opposition fans winding him up with whatever song they come up with. Might be wrong but I cannot see West Ham (or any football club tbh) tearing up the contract of a multi million pound asset over this however much we would like them to.

  4. Back on to Keinan, the Forest fans are raving about him. One saying that they want to use the sell on money they get from Cash to Athletico Madrid in the summer to buy Davis for 10 mil. They love him. He bullies defenders and transforms their attack.

City fans seem mixed on his performances so far i've noticed, maybe it will click but it looks like they expected a lot more..

From the bits I’ve seen they’re warming to him slowly in the same way we did to Buendia. Those hoping he’ll flop there are going to be disappointed.

Looks like the move is working out well for both him and us.

I haven’t seen it confirmed he is not injured. I’m worried because whenever this happens a la grealish it’s usually true and a long term injury

I’m hoping for the best but Twitter, whilst completely unreliable for anything else, seems to be bang on re unreported injuries to key Villa players.

Someone else of FB who gets stuff right sometimes has also posted it.

Claims he is waiting for confirmation of how serious it is etc.

Just last week I noted that I pop into these threads with fear whenever they are on International duty.

He's started showing the absolute best form of his Villa career, so you know it's true.

EDIT: Wait, are they back from Internationals already?

    Yes they are.

  8. In all reality though, we’re not going to sign force through a purchase of a player if he says that he doesn’t want to be here. It would be a recipe for disaster.

We have the option to buy which I interpret the same as most, if we want to buy him and he’s happy to stay, he’s ours. If he has a successful loan with us and his family are settled, I think he’d be delighted to stay.

Let’s not worry, it’s still very early days. If we’re going to drop 30 mill on him we need to see consistency of performance and that he is not prone to injury niggles.

This is doing the rounds on social media that this is the home kit for next season.  Take it with a oinch of salt of course.

Hopefully its a windup as thats absolutely vile

Dreadful. But I’ve never seen a kit release leak be correct this far in advance.

Can’t remember the game. Maybe it was Everton but I feel like the only real mistake he’s had under Gerrard was accidentally kicking the ball out of bounds on a pass to Martinez giving the opponent a corner. But I’ll defer to his detractors so they can hop in and enlighten us on all his negatives.

Yep, I was praying for him that they didn’t score from that corner.

So I had an interesting conversation today with someone who was a coach with us until earlier this year.

    He said...
Ramsey is more like a 10
Our best youth player is JPB but doesn't know if there is a place with him under our current system and will need 2 years more development.

Kesler will go to the top unless he keeps hanging around with dickheads
Carney is great but it could go either way at the moment
Brad Young is just like Jamie Vardy in mentality but not as good and will probably end up in the Championship
Gerrard want the centre backs to play out from the back and to split wide when doing so.
The DCM pulls to the right in between the lines to receive the ball
Gerrard wants a midfield three that works like Liverpool's, hardworking but not often going forward

I can't remember anymore about what he said but it was really interesting.

    V interesting.
    I don’t see Ramsey as a 10 but what do I know.

    Fingers crossed KKH stays focused.

I agree Brad Young will be a success in lower leagues.

Gerrard really will want to keep hold of John McGinn with that vision of his midfield.

    Replace Jan with David

Yeah,  maybe it’s true but I suspect either us or his agent are bigging up the ‘race’ to sign him. Enhances his profile in the market (good for us and him) and gets one over on Spurs and Arsenal, Spurs who we lost Bentancur to and Arsenal who kept hold of ESR.

You’d think so, but he’s the head sports writer for The Economist so unlikely to be on the wind up.

Known for their excellent sports reporting?? He signs off every tweet ‘Rog’. He’s absolutely on the wind up.

Why do fans get so infatuated with certain players? Last summer it was Rashica, this January it’s Bissouma. There are plenty of good players out there, if we don’t get Bissouma in the summer it really isn’t the end of the world.

After this window, I wouldn’t be bothered if I never heard his name again. Unfortunately not going to happen.

CNt see anymore incomings. I think its was that juve player or no one.

Woll wait until the summer to get a holding midfielder i think

You’re probably right. Think they’ll announce a Chuk new contract as a sweetener tho.
