Suspect it was pre-determiend that Buendia would play against Burnley and Coutinho against Liverpool

He pretty much said they were rotating them over this period. No drama.

  2. What I find a bit odd is that the background print on the home and away shirt don’t match. It’s criss crossy on the home kit and vertical stripes on the away kit. Would prefer the print to match and just have the colours different.

I might warm to them, just need to see them on, they look a bit dull in those photos.

With the away kits we usually stick with blue, black and white for aways recently. We use to do alot of yellows.

I have to say though i absolutely loved the navy one this season. Thats one of my favourite kits ever. I might actually buy another one in case something happens to my one in wash

I also loved the navy but it was really poorly received by a lot of people and we’ve had some terrible results in it.

As soon as we went a goal down I knew it was going to be extremely unlikely that we would get a win and an uphill task to even get a result, been the story of our whole season, just thirteen goals in twenty-two games, it's a shame because since Christmas they've been playing really well there has been a big improvement, but can't be as bad in the final third and in front of goal as we have been, there will be big changes in the summer, a few players that played today probably played their last game for the club.

First womens game I’ve ever been to and this was really evident…Lots of good build up play but terrible final balls and decision making. We were the better team but I thought they looked more likely to score a second than we were to equalise.

I’d probably forgo bringing inflatable European cups to the etihad. It’ll be slightly undermined by seeing Villa have to applaud the champions onto the pitch. Or watch them lift the title.

I don’t really like it when clubs either win things against us, or secure records against us. It’s like we’re forced into bit part onlookers in someone else’s success. Just not a fan of it. Petty, yeah. But frankly I think a lot of football runs off pettiness.

Add to that there’s going to be a lot of “Well he left his boyhood club to win trophies…little did he know his first was going to be AGAINST them!!” type wankery that day.

It’s easy to tune out. And indeed I will tune it out (the trick is not to watch - clever, I know). But it existing is annoying enough :P

    Like I say. Petty.

Totally agree. I’m really hoping Liverpool are still in with a chance by the last day as I’d hate for us to have to give them a guard of honour. Can we just refuse, I don’t care about sporting etiquette.

  6. The only thing I find odd if he’s rotating players is that he’s playing more defensive players  against Burnley and saving Coutinho for Liverpool who will have to do a shift defensively in that game.

Was about to say, this sounds more like a " YOU " problem than anything else 👀

A choice to wollow in misery.

Not sure. Think they sounded low and like they could do with a break from football and get some enjoyment from things they have more control over. For all we obsess over it, it’s just a game.

Anyway…Gerrard…as long as we get through this season unscathed, I’m positive for next season.

It's already been said over and over, mate. At this point I'm here for the gallows humour. I'm still suffering in truth from the deep psychological blow of our previous pitch perfect scenario, to this... It's awful. I don't celebrate goals, and I can barely muster an eye roll when we concede lately. Would love to believe in project Gerrard, but at this moment the appointment seems a strange and costly miscalculation.

See, at this point, the point where you’re talking about deep psychological blows and can’t  take joy from even the simplest of things, a goal…isn’t it time to step a way for a bit?

I'm surprised he didn't snap at the question which stated we're only not in a fight because of the new manager bounce when he came in 😂

I think the journo wanted a reaction but didn’t get one. SG looked mildly irritated but answered calmly.

When did you join the list?

I email them and they told me they can't tell me where I am on the list 🤷‍♂️

Not sure, over a year ago. I only emailed this week as they mentioned on that Q and A session the other day that you could. You have to send them your fan ID.

  11. So I emailed the ticket office and they’ve told mine and my sons exact position in the waiting list- we’re in the mid 7000s. I doubt that many people will choose not to renew but I also doubt all 7000 ahead of me will definitely take up the opportunity if offered so I’ll have to see how it goes.

i dunno, werent Spam linked with a player in the summer, who they didnt want to pay a "reasonable fee for" so they pulled out citing "silly money transfers"?

Whilst also wanting 150m+ for Rice.

    lol.

Sounds like good business…don’t overpay for other clubs players, make others overpay for yours or price them out of the market.

Perhaps, but I don’t think he’s happy. Or at least, I don’t think he’d turn down a chance to move back to London on better wages than he’s on here. Who knows.

    I think you’re possibly right.

The guy who tweeted that is hugely reliable and the go-to guy for West Ham fans re. transfers. I imagine it’s true and I imagine they’ll come knocking again in the Summer.

It might be one of those transfers that works for all parties as long as we get the right price. Personally, anything over £40m and I think we could find better.

Well we bought him for over 30mil with add one and now he’s capped and proven in the PL. No way we would have quoted under 50 mil for him.

If he’s happy, I’d keep him, especially if him and Ings start to click.

I remember 10 years ago when I bought a season ticket for £295 in Lambert's first season. I rang the club and got on without a queue and they just said 'where do you want to sit'?

My first season ticket was £30. (Admittedly only a half season). I’m not even that old. Holte End Terrace 93-94. Was at my first cup final within 3 months.

I'm a bit out of the loop with 'membership' and the like but just looked it up - so I need to pay £40 a year for the chance of paying £40-50 for a match ticket if I don't renew?? WTF, we really are just gouging people aren't we.

If you still want to go regularly, I’d rethink giving up your season ticket. Trying to get tickets for individual matches is a pain (you have to set an alarm on your phone to remember to get online at a certain time) and the seats aren’t great. And yes, you have to pay for the privilege of even being in with a chance of getting one.
