  1. WB’s situation mainly. They need cash now! and there’s been a few reports that everyone is happy with the fee, so if the fee is good, it has to be something to do with the structure. so it seems logical that the broke club wants that fee up front and not in instalments (which I was lead to believe helps clubs with the accounts and FFP) but I suspect @Sam-AVFC is going to school us
  2. It’s not the fee that’s the issue. it’s the payment structure. WB wants all/most of the money up front. Because they’re skint right now, in this very moment. AV wants to pay it in instalments, to help keep costs under the FFP limit. So they have to sort it out one way or another its called negotiations, it takes time.
  3. If I have to get a Chelsea cast off, I wouldn’t be looking at Ross Barkley on a loan, I’d be looking at Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a permanent deal. For our desired progression we should be out growing the Barkleys within a year or two, so buying him wouldn’t be good value for the long term, I believe he has hit his ceiling. A loan will only be a short term fix, with all the benefits going to Chelsea, because the extra game time, gives them a pedestal to advertise him to other clubs. Lotus-cheek fits Villa’s current profile. young English player, high ceiling and largely forgotten about. The poor lad can’t get the game time at Chelsea to reach his ceiling. A move to us will give him the game time. Also he adds some much needed size and strength in our midfield. However, the fee Chelsea will ask for, would probably be out of our range.
  4. Been quoted by Werder’s sporting director that they are in talks with Villa. There is no speculation or assumptions to it
  5. https://m.sport1.de/fussball/bundesliga/2020/09/werder-bremen-ludwig-augustinsson-ueber-kohfeldt-rashica-und-woltemade seems like we’ll be getting a player with a professional attitude. I like this
  6. Yes, if players are accepting wage reductions, too keep the club going, WB have to be in a worse situation than Villa was
  7. We were linked with Watkins for weeks... things get held up. what held that deal up is probably the same thing holding this one up. and don’t worry yourself, the club has other options the only thing we can do is
  8. No surprise, but Rashy is not in WB’s squad today
  9. Why is everyone crying about Phill McNulty’s opinion.
  10. I'm not brimming with optimism with him, but I'm happy to see what he has to offer across the season. One thing I've learned from last season, It took near enough of a season for Doug, Trez and Konsa to get the required form.. so because of this, I give this chap the same amount of time
  11. He comes across as a nervous wreck in his interview, all hunched up and quiet..
  12. tbf, McNulty is only "suggesting Traore will be the end" He's not using definite language, so he's taking a guess...
  13. It’s an anniversary image from the same date (18th September). He posted another one last week. He probably has an app that notifies him of these anniversaries
