Top speed really means shit, especially when you need a whole pitch to get to it. it’s more about acceleration, beating your man to a ball, and getting in to position after a quick break kind of things
Overall I’m not surprised with jack going back to training. He’s a pro and probably loves it
the bit that is surprising is that Villa is telling the world that he’s back in training.
this deal is not as close as Percy and Lee state
Basically yes! The attitude of the press and particularly Sky think the “big 6” have a divine right to all the best players.
They will always try and paint a picture that any “big 6” making a big bid to a smaller would inevitably be accepted because they believe the smaller club needs the money. Because in most cases it’s true. Even with current Villa, it’s somewhat true. Our owners are rich, but the club isn’t. FFP keeps that in check. FFP keeps football in perpetual state of sameness. Big clubs staying big and smaller clubs staying small. The press will carrying on using this problem to their advantage, rather than actually calling it out and demanding change to FFP rules
you know what this training stuff is... Get jack and Ty back together, encourage Ty to tell his Priti Patel story, Ty gets carried away and shows jack a physical representation.
something like this....
Jack gets injured, Villa texts Man City "Ohhh no Jack is injured, we best keep him. ta ra duck."
