Zero out of five.
I really didn't think Madeline would survive another year in my cellar.

Telling someone with depression to stop worrying about things is like telling someone with a broken leg to just ignore the pain and go out for a run. Most people with depression (including me) lived-in it for years before seeking help.
This is a terribly difficult time for a lot of people with mental illnesses. They really appreciate your support. But if you could solve their problems really easily you would be one of the biggest medical geniuses ever.
May I suggest instead of telling her to stop worrying, ask her what you can do to help her stop worrying.

Today's random court story.
A guy got really drunk and also really annoyed with a Police Officer who told him to go home. So he did what anyone would in that situation........
He peed into his sock and slapped the officer across the face with it.
This could become the new version of Killer Clown attacks.

Boris’s 2020 COVID review.
1. Science says something is necessary.
2. Ignore science.
3. Follow science too late.
4. Recover due to following science.
5. Goto 1.-

It does make me wonder why they decided to paint only that small section. Might the bricks be mismatched? If they are, it will look terrible whatever you do. When you move in its worth chatting to neighbours. They often remember what was there before.
FWIW I li,e the idea of getting rod of 1 of those doors. I assumed the house was split into 2 flats when I saw it.

Paint Stripper specifically for brickwork is your best bet. But there are 2 potential problems.
It will work too well and the area will look far lighter than the rest of the house.
It will not work too well and you will still have remnants of the paint.
You should be ok but be prepared for it to be a bigger job than you first imagine.

The build up to the Queen’s Speech is pretty poor again.
Is it too much to expect a couple of minor English royals and a King of one obscure African Country to get together for pre-speech analysis and discuss stats from previous years?
No effort.

Over the past few days I have amassed 20 of the free Panini Sticker Albums.
Today I gave one to one of my Blue-Nose Colleagues.
I enjoyed the look on his face when he realised it was made up of 20 sets of the Villa pages.

We are now a country where people feel empowered to break rules in the name of “freedom”. The week before Tier 4 London saw unmasked idiots protesting about lockdown. Remember everyone packing the beaches in the summer? Look at all the people crowding the London stations yesterday. The list goes on and on.
If everyone followed the rules we wouldn’t be in such a bad place.
Boris is a clown. But the British public should take as much blame.

Would London be in Tier 4 if it hadn't been put into Tier 2 for political reasons?
How the hell is Boris still in power?

Allowing the Cheltenham Festival......Delaying Lockdown 1.......Delaying Lockdown 2......Incentives to crowd together in restaurants.....Not testing at airports.......Not insisting on Face Coverings.......Failing to enforce COVID restrictions.......Defending Cummings.....VE celebrations......Encouraging Foreign Holidays On Packed Planes......Discharging COVID patients to Care Homes......Not maintaining PPE stockpiles....,,
Boris has never been against doing things that everyone else thinks are bonkers.

@Big Saladnvicta watches seem to be good value for what you pay. They aren't a luxury brand so they don't have the insane quality control that you get with luxury brands. You might be unlucky and get a bad one. But the chances are you will get one that's perfectly ok. If accuracy is important in your job get a quartz rather than an automatic.

Yes should be Clinton > Trump on bright red. Key is wrong but I'd have thought the intent was abvious
Please choose your reply-
Option 1.
I would have thought the result of the election would have been obvious. But apparently not to the POTUS.
Option 2.
@bickster map is FAKE NEWS. Trump won all those states by A LOT. Democrats have rigged the key to the map and stole the election.

Am I being stupid and understanding this all wrong?
The key says BOTH the light blue and bright red both mean “Clinton > Biden”.
Should bright red actually be “Clinton > Trump”?
How much wine did I drink last night?

I haven't been to Dudley Zoo for decades. I remember them keeping an Orca in a pool that's now consider too small for seals. I also remember the Polar Bear just standing in the middle of his concrete cell constantly swinging it’s head.
I can see that zoos are suitable for certain animals. They also have a role in conservation. But I fear that many zoos use conservation as a convenient justification.

The brilliant conservation work that zoos do can be a force for good.
I've also always wondered what it would be like to visit one at night.
Dark.
