What a boring squad and standby list
Would have loved at least one attacking wildcard.
If Neves is good enough for Portugal (who have a better squad than us), why isn't Grealish good enough?
-
^^^ Just seen that's already been asked
-
Any videos of his celebrations with the fans?
-
Wouldn't swap him for anyone tbh.

Kodjia has been thick as shit, brainless giving the ball away and fouling
He's had **** all to work with. 0 support, 0 quality balls into him.

Dire tactics this second half. Hoofing it every time under no pressure. I know it's looking like a good result but no excuse not to keep the ball better than this.

I wondered about this. On the replay, it looked like maybe Onomah? Not sure.
He just ran and slid near the bench.

Excellent when he came on tonight. Started stretching the play and moving Bamba around and created more space.
I wonder if we could go with him and Grabban starting as Albert has lost form recently.
I actually thought Albert looked quite sharp last night.

We looked so much more dangerous when the beast came on.
What a player!
Yep, as frustrating as he can be, he is an unreal player. Not just a great player, but he's just so mentally positive in everything he does. Will never see him hiding.

Have that Warnock you prick. Super Jack !

Bree looks so timid.

2 similar great passes from Grabban and numpties Hourihane and Whelan can’t control the ball.
Grabban looks a better CM than both of them.

Do people on here rate Hourihane? Don't get what he brings.

If he comes back the player he was he's a brilliant player at this level, can't believe that's still being questioned. He's an elite Championship level striker and he has that ability to score a goal out of nothing, which is something we're missing at times to be fair regardless of how clinical we are.
0-0 at the Den going into the 94th minute needing a win for promotion, ball breaks into the final third from a clearance... Is there another player in the squad you'd want running onto it?
Agree but who's questioning him? He was very frustrating before he got injured, but no doubt he's a fantastic player.
-
Had a very small hope that he'd receive a very surprise call up today!

Alli scores more goals and is at a higher level. Be interesting to see how he does if we went up.
Yeah but what does Alli do apart from scoring goals? He doesn't have many stand-out abilities apart from finishing and positioning.
-
Not completely because I think Grealish is fantastic (I really do), but also that Alli is quite limited in many ways.
-
Am I the only one who thinks Grealish is more talented than Alli? People look at me as if I'm mad when I say it.

As much of a grafter as he is, he is painfully limited. In tight areas he is practically useless, and his awareness/intelligence is poor as well. Grabban has to start the new few games, and hopefully be our main striker for the rest of the season.

A painfully limited player.

Was infuriating for the most part on Saturday, for me. The amount of times he passed up a simple layoff (twice to Snodgrass in good positions as well) for a dribble into a blind alley was a joke, and amateurish tbh. If it wasn't Blues up next I'd be dropping him for Davis to teach him a lesson. He is a match-winner however, and his pros normally far outweigh his cons, but Saturday he was a joke.

4-2-3-1
Johnstone
Hutton - Chester - Terry - Taylor
Whelan - Lansbury
Elmohamody - Grealish - Green
Hogan
Obvs Kodj in for Hogan when fit, and Bree to come in for Hutton when he has a dip in form.

Still got Richards and Elphick
**** hell.
Unless we have some kind of highly rated young player coming in, this move stinks. Got a feeling Bree will be back-up as well.
Suliman.

Would leave us very fragile in the CB department as I have some doubts about Terry's ability to handle a full 46 game season, and even bigger doubts about Samba's ability. Both regarding injuries and actual ability.
The less said about Richards and Elphick the better.
Would definitely mean we won't be playing with a 3 CB formation.
Unless we have someone else on the way in...
Don't forget about Suliman, maybe Bruce is putting some faith in him. Either way, I'd much rather Baker stayed, bit gutted tbh.

I would pick Grealish over Alli any day. *takes cover*
