Wolves fans on their forum saying they should get their lawyers involved as VAR is clearly corrupt and against them. Not long ago, there were a couple on their who actually said they should get the police involved. The f****** police!
Nobody gives a shit about you, you deluded clearings in the woods. Why on earth would VAR be corrupt against a nothing club like Wolves. Lol.
Not to mention West Ham had a goal ruled out ny VAR today.
Ridiculous.
No-one gives a shit about any club except their own fans.

I think we signed him because he's good in tight spaces, and he showed that today with some lovely footwork for the goal. Classy player.

Watkins calling out in the post match again. Rightly so. Kind of thing which will motivate him to leave if we keep doing it. Doesn't want to keep playing with losers and bottlers. We're a very insecure side incapable of learning.
What's he said? Should post quotes.

Zaniolo is playing every game with desperation because he barely ever starts and is trying to prove himself in scraps of minutes. Ridiculous to put any blame on him and/or judge him.

I don't think we'd have got anything out of City away with a full strength side tbh.
Maybe not but even with our rotated side at least two of the goals we conceded were pathetic and easily avoidable.

So absolutely nothing to do with resting players - just faux outrage?
Outrage?
My focus is how we could have got something away at City rather than how we pathetically threw it away today.

Curious.... why would it matter?
We were completely cruising this game but stopped playing for 20 minutes. It's happened so many times this season.
Answered your own question.

Two points dropped. It's no good resting players midweek is you spontaneously combust when 2-0 up, at home, against a team who had basically given up, in 5 minutes.
We should hang our heads in shame after **** that up. Just what we needed before a big European tie.
Should always play your best side if they're fit, should never risk losing momentum.
-
Really poor result. Told you we shouldn't have rested players for City game.

Leon Bailey is infuriating

That was a shocker from Carlos

Unbelievable.
Shame Bailey showed awful decision making on two occasions before we conceded as we could have killed it.

He's 100% yanked him down there

Think his goal to win the Bundesliga in 2007 was just extraordinary and for how important it was one of the best goals ever. If some mug like Rooney scored it the Sky melts would still be banging on about it today
Wow, didn't realise/had forgotten he'd won the Bundesliga with Stuttgart!

Benteke away at WBA is one of my favourite goals ever, and I've always thought it goes a little under the radar. Out of absolutely nothing, gets away from the defender and absolutely buries it:
Lowton away at Stoke was just a phenomenal strike:
Sorry for bad quality, amazes me how much video quality has changed in the last few years.
Also, it was Thomas Hitzlsperger's birthday yesterday and Villa FB shared a few of his goals...he scored some crackers for us.

Even under the very best of circumstances (a completely fit, full squad) we'd struggle against City away, as indeed most teams do. The simple fact is that we gained more for the next two games by resting some key players/giving them less minutes than what we lost for the City game. Even if Tielemans, Bailey and Torres had started, our chances of winning or getting a draw would've only been marginally better, while ensuring that our chances against Brentofrd and Lille took a much bigger hit.
Now of course we could still lose those upcoming games, but on balance it was clearly the right thing to do. Emery knows what he's doing.
Oh I don't doubt that he does. It's just hard for me to compute as I believe every game is winnable.
But, our injury/suspension issues have been insane, so I am starting to get it.

Beat Brentford and the decisions against Man City will be looked upon as a master stroke
Not really, could have taken 4-6 points from the two games.

As you say in the other post it’s totally on Zaniolo (and Luiz for giving the foul away in that area) but yeah it’s day one of goalkeeper school, sort your wall out and then only cover the half of the goal the wall isn’t covering.
I get that, but still...keepers do make saves that side.

More on Zaniolo/Konsa though for sure, just winds me up to concede such a pathetic goal. It should have been a shit free-kick instead SSN are wanking over how good a strike it was. Cringe.
-
Olsen may have played well but every time I see that free-kick from the angle of behind Foden, he could make much more an effort to try and save it.

Was very sensible to do what he did last night.
People won't like to hear it but we were very likely to lose regardless if Bailey and Pau started.
It was a free hit and an ideal game to rest some players.
Have to prioritize Brentford.
That's the spirit that's got us top four!
