Duran getting subbed off tonight makes me think Ollie might not be ready for the weekend.
Dunno, Duran always gets subbed off

I wouid have thought so. Think Emery prioritising winnable games
Every game is winnable, should have started.

End of the day - good business decision by him. Not his fault we gave him these wages.
Trains reasonably well, shows up on match days, doesn’t make a fuss and is professional.
Everyone else is quiet quitting in the corporate world so I can’t really blame Chambers for doing the same.Shows up as in literally shows up? Cos he certainly doesn't show up when he's on the pitch.

Come on, that’s a goal you can’t do anything against
Well apart from not give it away pathetically

Please don't give Chambers another minute for this club. Such a weak player.

Haha, is bizarre I meant! Rodri vs Diaby is not a fair fight
Should still have been stronger IMO

Mate, read that and you’ll understand why that’s not bizarre to say
Not bizarre or is bizarre?

That's so weak from Diaby letting Rodri through like that

Shows lack of respect.
Not at all. Pep has picked the best team for tonight.

Yes but this game week isn’t finished yet. We will have 7 left after tonight whilst they have 8.
In a couple of weeks time the table will show they have 2 games in hand soon for a couple of weeks since they don’t play the weekend we play Arsenal.
This is reminding me of the Aubameyang he's 28 until he's 29 argument.

All this talk of his discipline omits to note how young he is. He's only recently turned 20, he's still adapting and acclimatising to a foreign country where he's been challenged to step up and earn his stripes and we've seen (or heard about) a certain difficulty with this on his behalf.
He's young and frustrated, essentially - or has been.
Discipline will come as he learns the English game and composes himself with time.
Also - he's frustrated because he has drive, passion and is desperate to show what he can do. I'd much rather he's that way than the opposite.

Suppose these are most realistic but not the most exciting of lists!
Of those Estupinan is the best, been unlucky to be in a piss poor Brighton defence but he’s better at attacking than defending. For the role Moreno is supposed to play he’d be an upgrade and he’s worked with Unai before for a season. Brighton are the worst team to buy players from though, massively inflate their prices.
I’d maybe take Robinson and Ait Nouri too, but they wouldn’t really elevate us to great heights. None of the others are good enough for Villa IMO.
McGinn himself said Estupinan is "an absolute nightmare" to play against as well.

West Ham could have won if Antonio didn't finish like a toddler...one to discuss on his next podcast.

We all sound very defeatist. Its a major loss losing our key player for such an important game tomorrow. Man city have a makeshift defence. I don't know who they have available tomorrow. Last game Duran started he was dreadful. Let's hope he's better tomorrow. Need Ollie back for Brentford.
You do, I'm not sure others did?

A Duran start always excites me! Hope he can do well tomorrow.

And ? Still think out of the two Digne is the better player also over a longer period of time, whereas Moreno had a good few months only…
I just think it might be a little unfair to make a judgement call on who's the better of the two considering Moreno's issues this season.

It’s all about the business. Digne is the better player IMO and Miranda is 24 and has re-sale value and gives Sousa a season to develop. We cannot be sentimental and he’s not performed well enough for whatever factor but as long as we do not make a PSR / FFP loss on him I’d sell.
Who did you think was better out of Moreno and Digne at the end of last season?

When he plays regularly, he still makes mistakes. Passing is supposed to be his best attribute, yet he misplaces so many and always has. I'm sure he's a lovely guy, but he is rubbish at this level.
