This as been Chelsea for a good while now, they seem so lackluster. Not sure who to blame that on, but spending £200 million plus isn't going to solve that problem.
Looking back at past windows, the club tends to do business long before the window closes so I don't see a whole lot of activity today. Maybe a loan but I doubt that.
It will be a disappointing window but given the amount of panic buys you see in the January window I wouldn't blame the club for waiting till Summer.
Honestly, my only real concern is if Emery was promised funds and they haven't materialized. But I doubt that's the case. I just think the club is struggling to attract players. I'm not entirely comfortable with all the exits and so few arrivals, that's a recipe for disaster. But we should be confident in the club.
Their spending is absolutely insane. They've discovered a loophole basically, I suspect the likes of Newcastle and City are watching to see how it turns out to see if it would work out for them. Definitely risky, it could be an absolute disaster if it doesn't work out or it could be a stroke of genius.
I'd take Dyche over Bielsa. He might not keep them up this season but he could bring them back up. As for Bielsa, I think he's massively overrated and you want someone in whose going to stay for the long run (the good and the bad) Bielsa isn't that guy.
Oh god, if Bielsa takes the job we'll have to hear what an amazing manager he is every damn game. The commentators had a real hard-on for him at Leeds and it got old fast.
