  1. They do need us, they can't abandon the premier league yet until they have built another competition that rivals it. That would take transitional seasons when the big clubs compete in the premier league and a super league, once that's an established commercial equivalent to the premier league they will abandon the premier league and sail off over the horizon along with Barcelona, PSG , Milan and the others who have deystroyed their own leagues by being greedy. It's better we , the PL, fight this from the off. Even the big 6 fans are against it, it's our only opportunity to fight it and letting it in through the back door , FIFA, is a mistake all of football (fans) will regret.
  2. We don't have to have either a superleague or world cup club competition from a PL point of view we can carry as we are. We have the teams any super league or world league needs and they ain't Everton , Southampton or villa. As for FIFA, no. "As Qatar’s World Cup ends it is time for truth: Fifa chose death and suffering" https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/dec/16/as-qatars-world-cup-ends-it-is-time-for-truth-fifa-chose-death-and-suffering
  3. It's against the interest of the PL who are the most powerful league in the world, it's time they started to protect this status. FIFA, if given a foothold in club football, will reign havoc. They don't even pretend not to be corrupt, it's a disgraceful farce of an organisation who would probably set the world league up in Qatar in the winter.
  4. I agree, however we benefit from the PL, we wouldn't benefit from any FIFA led competition, only a few PL clubs would.
  5. FIFA power grab on club football. The premier league and its clubs can only lose out to these super leagues ideas, especially when it's been run by a cartel of criminals, FIFA.
  6. Bald and bankrupt on YouTube shows a great insight into Russia and its past. The infrastructure, industry, towns and cities that were built under communism have largely become abandoned and decaying. Youngsters have left to go abroad or to the big city's and all the older people left look back at communism with fondness. When you look at parts of the UK there are similar situations with mining , steel and ship building industries.....towns left devastated.
  7. Bit of a mess up at the back cost us the goal, Olsen played well, pulled off some good saves , looks like hes gained some confidence. Our overall play was good, definitely improving and you can see Emery's influence taking affect with the possession at the back. Few stray passes and if the opposition can transition play quickly then we look panicky, especially the fringe players. Good work out for us.
  8. The 4 boys have now all been named , Finlay Butler, eight, Sam Butler, six, and cousin Thomas Stewart, 11, three from the same family and one , Jack Johnson , 10, appears to be unknown to the 3. Apparently he died trying to save the 3 others. I can't begin to imagine the pain it must cause their families. I'm heartbroken writing this and can't bring myself to even talk to anyone about it without been overwhelmed with emotion. RIP.
  9. Reminds me of Kerry's tattoo in "This Country"........" looks a dog smelling a bum hole" was her co stars reaction
  10. I have watched the first 3 episodes and its much a do about nothing tbh. Its in danger of painting the whole of the UK as being racist when it's obviously just a few morons egged on by a right wing press. Sooner they fade away into the low profile lifestyles they seem to want the better.
  11. Can't bring myself to watch the news reports about these children dying, truly heartbreaking.
  12. I know what you mean but I have a feeling the shouting is all from one character and he has 'issues' , I'm hoping they get sorted ASAP.
  13. Started The Bear last night, the stress in the restaurant scenes is so realistic. Wouldn't like to work there but it's entertaining watching it all unfold.
  14. The Banshees of Inisherin has arrived on the high seas, Saturday night sorted for me.
  15. Book a holiday so you can attend an interview, might push em into re thinking their approach.
  16. Lets get something straight the murderer of children is not war in any shape or form, it's an evil person committing an horrific crime under the cover of 'war'. If it it was a British soldier in a British war and I was present they would get a bullet straight in the back of the head, no questions, no trial. My guess is 99% of service men I know would do exactly the same.
  17. The Ukraine was obviously right in defending itself and had no choice than to go to war defending itself despite the devastation it would cause. Putin is the real issue and the one that's caused all this death and destruction that's called a war. It's one man's decision. That's the problem with leaders that become so powerful they can't be overthrown. Maybe he is ill and this war is his attempt to leave a legacy of his reign over Russia.
  18. Brendan Rodgers , Southgate has to go.
  19. It's country is devastated, 100,000's dead, that's not winning, IMHO. It will have defeated an enemy that's led by a deluded madman who's willing to sacrifice his own people with little regard. No winners at all, apart from arms dealers and energy companies outside of Russia.
  20. Nobody really wins a war, the damage lasts decades on both sides. One goes down history as running out of will, weapons and soldiers first.
  21. It's the sort of thing you do when your winning to try and kill some time. Southgate, incompetence on a different level, nice guy though. Just needs more time and a few more world class players to bench.
  22. It was wasting time , time we never had. Unbelievable decision.
  23. Started 11 games this season, 5 in the champions League, subbed on twice in the League. How many others in our forward line have played champions League games this season?
  24. Best thing he can do for England is leave. As soon as we meet anyone any good we wilt under the lack of believe he has in us. We have the strongest squad in then world and go out underachieving. We had enough to beat France if he had played our strongest team.
