    Awful news about the journalist, but honestly, I can't believe that the Qatari government have anything to do with this. They aren't North Korea, and they're not going to tarnish their big successful event like this. Plus he had already been stating he'd been ill with bronchitis. Unless there is some genuine evidence I'm not going with the "he was murdered" line.

    I don't know why everyone hasn't had this enabled since forever. The "home" timeline is just a dreadful algorithm-generated list of nonsense and regularly doesn't show you tweets from those you follow in my experience. Always put it into "latest" mode. That's how it was originally meant to work and how it should work. Edit: this doesn't stop promoted tweets of course, you still see those... Mostly I get football betting stuff for some reason even though I never bet on football

    Yep. Lineker suggested on the BBC that reports have been misinterpreted or exaggerated to some extent and that he's in a stable condition. Of course, with conflicting reports it's always hard to know which ones are closest to the truth, but this situation isn't as clear as it seemed earlier on today.
