  1. There are so many things wrong with that front page... I don't even know where to start.
  2. I have to check this out. I totally missed that there was a 4th season. As you say, season 3 was pretty hit and miss (probably more miss).
  3. Wow. Now I'm almost getting excited. Can they really about turn so dramatically from the dismal first two series of Picard? This article says so: https://trekmovie.com/2023/02/10/spoiler-free-review-the-final-season-of-star-trek-picard-sticks-the-landing/ Spoiler-Free Review: ‘Picard’ Season 3 Is A Star Trek Triumph, Honoring The Past As It Looks To The Future Either way, Picard season 3, not unlike The Undiscovered Country was to original Star Trek, is an elegy for a beloved era of Star Trek and a ride more than worth taking. To paraphrase a certain glabrous captain, it is very engaging television. Kudos to Alex Kurtzman for giving the keys to the kingdom to Matalas, and to Terry and his creative team for making it so.
  4. Well it seemed to work. Was a hell of a powerful burn. Almost looked like the booster was trying to tip itself over.
  5. 33 engine test fire of the spacex Super Heavy Booster 7 (for Starship). Could be nothing happens, could be the most powerful rocket engine ever fired, could be a monumental explosion. Exciting!
  6. It's also easy to forget just how much filler there was. The real gems were interspersed with a lot of unmemorable nonsense.
  7. I know this. This isn't a loophole, it's how all player contracts work. Anyway, look, I'm not talking about how Chelsea have managed to buy lots of players (that's for the Chelsea thread), my original point was is there any possibility they got wind of the City thing and any potential rule changes and that prompted them to stockpile lots of players in advance of any such rule changes? Complete supposition on my part of course.
  8. Disagree that there was a loophole, I don't understand why people say that. They just brought players in and gave them longer contracts than other clubs have generally given. How is that a loophole? Any club could have done that but quite rightly decided it was a stupid idea.
  9. Any chance Chelsea's crazy spending was in anticipation of some new restrictions coming along in the near future? Probably not related, I don't see that they'd know this Man City stuff was in the works, but the timing is certainly coincidental.
  10. Must be frustrating not being able to fully use your house colour because your upstart spinoff team decided to use it instead... And yes, I know that red is really Italy's racing colour
  11. Yes Minister for me I think. Blackadder and Red Dwarf other options. Maybe Black Books too.
  12. I don't know...there are plenty of good places, is on the main concourse of one of the country's busiest stations the wisest choice?
  13. It worked mainly because Basil Fawlty was a deliberately awful human being, and the xenophobia was part of that. Sadly, in this remake, he'll probably just be playing himself now that he has basically turned into Basil anyway.
  14. That makes sense. Not being a lawyer, I can't speak at all with authority in the subject, but a quick perusal of the definition of fraud seems surprisingly wide ranging and probably could be construed to include the activities City are accused of. But, IANAL so I wouldn't be able to say one way or the other. One thing is certain, it's going to be an interesting few months ahead.
  15. That's a very serious accusation. Cheating the rules is one thing, but fraud? That would surely result in a criminal investigation.
  16. No idea how valid this is, it seems a bit unbelievable to me, but...
