  1. I asked Chat GPT about my band's history it came up with the following (of which none is true). I think it shows just how incredibly unreliable this stuff really is: Satchel Blue is a British nu-folk band formed in 2005. The band's members include Davey Ray Moor (guitar and backing vocals), Jody Lee Petty (violin and backing vocals), and Ben Trigg (drums). In 2007, Satchel Blue released their debut album, titled "Stormy Waters". The album was well received and showcased the band's unique blend of traditional folk and contemporary pop sensibilities. The band toured extensively in support of the album, playing shows throughout the UK and Europe. In 2010, Satchel Blue released their sophomore album, "Fading Light". The album was produced by Ethan Johns, who has worked with artists such as Ryan Adams and Kings of Leon. "Fading Light" continued to showcase the band's nuanced songwriting and intricate musicianship, and received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Satchel Blue has continued to perform and record music in the years since "Fading Light" was released, although they have been relatively quiet on the music scene in recent years. Nevertheless, the band remains a respected and beloved fixture of the British nu-folk scene, with a loyal following of fans who appreciate their heartfelt and authentic approach to music-making.
  2. Just finished both seasons of Resident Alien. Loved it. Hilarious and hugely entertaining. Alan Tudyk is a genius.
  3. Well, Picard ep. 3 was good by Picard's standards, but... it was still completely off tone. Picard has regressed back to being completely annoying. Some of the dialogue was incredibly clunky, and every other line had to be a quip, many of which really didn't land (particularly Worf's). It was unremittingly dark and bleak and violent, which I could live with if it was an occasional thing and was extremely well written (see The Wrath Of Khan) but unfortunately everything in nu-trek seems to have the same note (except Lower Decks which I absolutely love). I don't know... I didn't hate the episode but it certainly was nowhere near the level of the best of the classic Trek episodes. And it definitely wasn't as good as many people seem to be claiming on the internet.
  4. There were flickers of the Picard we know in episode 2. Particularly in the scene where he was talking to Jack in the brig. Maybe the character will slowly return over the course of the series.
  5. Everybody hated Pulaski, but I thought she was great. Really antagonistic and awkward and was a great foil for the rest of crew. And it was funny how much she hated Data.
  6. Season 3 of Picard is definitely much better. The tone is still more nu-trek than TNG, and your point about Action Crusher is valid in the first two episodes, but at least so far it is watchable and the TNG characters are showing signs of being their old selves (a tiny bit at least). I don't expect miracles... But I do think it will prove to be the best season any nu-trek so far (which isn't exactly a high bar).
  7. I rewatched Enterprise recently and thought it was great actually. Better than Voyager. I see Disco has just been cancelled too. One more series and that's it. I managed to keep plodding through series 3 but just gave up at that point when it turned out that all Federation starships had been destroyed by a child that was sad one time, and only Michael Burnham from hundreds of years in the past could figure that out and start the Federation up again and blah blah blah... I hoped it would start afresh in season 3 after the time jump, but somehow it was exactly the same as before with slightly better transporters. Anyway, looking forward to episode three of Picard tonight, supposed to be awesome. Although Jammer's Reviews does not seem to agree.. was only given another "good" rating there.
  8. Better hurry though, will be dipping below the horizon soon!
  9. BBC weather map has Worcester on the edge of the cloud cover, so they probably have a reasonable chance.
  10. Almost total cloud cover here in Sutton Coldfield. Can barely see the Moon.
  11. I've been out every night this week to see them and it's been cloudy every time! Damn you weather!
  12. Haven't seen it yet, but everybody seems to be freaking out over this week's Picard episode. I'm expecting The Last Of Us episode 3 levels of brilliance now having read all the glowing tweets!
  13. Yeah, season 1 was pretty awful. Season 2 wasn't much better, although had a couple of absolute standout episodes (especially The Measure Of A Man).
  14. Jenna Ortega really is tiny isn't she
  15. Not sure I like the sound of a 15-year strategic partnership. Are we going to start seeing spursy stuff plastered all over F1 circuits and broadcasts? Or is it just restricted to this karting track?
  16. Mcginn, Luiz and Ramsey. My least favourite combination and Gerrard's favourite combination.
  17. Lebara rocks. I'm currently paying £1.99 for my SIM.
  18. I got a BLT once, it yielded me a packet of crisps and a bottle of orange juice for £3.50
  19. Depends if it's made of camphor wood
  20. Oh ok, I see what you mean having read back the thread But it isn't a forward pass that's the thing anyway, it's the position of the receiving player when the ball is played. The ball trajectory doesn't matter.
  21. I explained this earlier. You can't be offside form a corner, the rules state this explicitly. Playing forwards or backwards is irrelevant from corners when it comes to offsides.
