  1. It's interesting, it felt like there were a lot more people there than the official figures. The shop was rammed, the family fun zone was busy and there were queues all down trinity road to get in. But I guess the figures are the figures.
  2. Possibly, but I don't know how early you would have had to arrive to get a non-blue-badge space.
  3. Nope, roads were open. We parked in the North Stand car park (we have a blue badge so got special treatment, other cars were being refused entrance when we arrived , but if early enough then it was free for anyone to park there).
  4. They have Bathams in Tamworth? How have they managed that? I thought it never escaped the Black Country.
  5. Great result, great afternoon. Could have been slightly better organised but overall we really enjoyed it. Was brilliant for the little one, it was her first time at VP.
  6. Doesn't feel like a 3-0 first half from watching it but Leicester just don't seem able to score no matter what.
  7. Just got to our seats but there were a lot of people behind. Hope they manage to get everyone in.
  8. Terrible organisation at VP. Huge queues outside the Trinity.
  9. Sutton Park. Even in the Midlands it is weirdly unknown by many people. Considering its amazing history, its variety of landscapes, the flora and fauna etc. I find it odd that it isn't nationally celebrated. I bet if it was in Manchester or Leeds everybody in the country would know it.
  10. Latest episode was even better. Definitely improving as the series progresses. Turning into tremendous fun.
  11. Didn't go in the end, I was closer to the Bakehouse so I had one of their burgers instead (that is the Baked In Brick owner's new cafe in Sutton). Very good. Definitely not instantly ruined by anything.
  12. Write a joke about a rabbit, a farmer and a scarecrow in a field Sure, here's a joke for you: One day, a rabbit was hopping through a field when he saw a farmer putting up a new scarecrow. The rabbit hopped over and asked, "Excuse me, Mr. Farmer, what's the point of that scarecrow?" The farmer replied, "Well, you see, rabbits like you are always eating up my crops, and I need to scare you away so I can grow them." The rabbit thought for a moment and then said, "I don't think that's going to work. That scarecrow doesn't look very scary to me." The farmer chuckled and replied, "You're right, it's not very scary. But it doesn't have to be. It just has to make you think there's someone watching." The rabbit thought about it for a moment and then said, "Oh, I get it. It's like the rabbit version of a security camera!" The farmer laughed and said, "Exactly! You're a smart little rabbit. Maybe I should hire you to guard my fields instead of the scarecrow." The rabbit grinned and said, "Sure, but I'm going to need a carrot for every hour I work."
  13. Anybody been to one of the Burger & Sauce establishments around the Midlands? A new one has just opened up in Sutton and I'm hoping to try it out tomorrow. It sounds like it could be fantastic, but also like it could be pretty awful. If I do go and they ruin my burger I will of course report back immediately.
  14. Accidental? Both hands were out in front of him. I just don't see how that was accidental.
  15. Interestingly I saw it differently, although I should maybe watch it again. I thought he nudged the ref as he ran past, and not in an especially aggressive manner, and then got aggressive as the ref pulled out the red card (which he did instantly upon the physical contact). But you may be right, it possibly was more aggressive than Bruno. However any contact with the officials that isn't purely an accident should be a red card, so I think like you Bruno should have gone.
  16. So he was given a ten second penalty for the rear jack touching the car when no work was supposed to be allowed during the original penalty. That removed his podium position. Then, Aston Martin appealed staying that loads of other teams put the jack in position during penalties and weren't penalised, and the stewards agreed. Basically, it seems that they've never really defined what "working on the car" means properly.
  17. And another incident this afternoon with Willian. If that was a pen, why wasn't ours yesterday? And Mitrovic sent off for a minor nudge of the ref. But Bruno can shove a linesman with no repercussions at all?
  18. If it wasn't a deliberate action towards the ball then why were both hands out in front of him?
  19. Haha. I felt the first couple of episodes were a bit hit-and-miss but it's getting its act together now.
  20. Really good ep of Picard. They actually But then Definitely a much better season than before. Starting to really enjoy it.
  21. Oddly enough, I think the mistake they made in this episode was actually having any Mando stuff in it at all. It's been beyond boring all of endless trials to get to the underground lake thing. If they'd concentrated the whole episode in the middle section, or even taken that out into its own show, then they might have been onto something. Instead it was just ... really tedious.
