    I mean, I haven't watched this afternoon because of work, but I always enjoy the tactical scrappy frames a lot more than "yet another 100 break" Sometimes I think it'd be interesting to see a tournament that introduces a maximum 50 break to force tactical play in every frame. I would say, however, that last night's "nudge the white against a red on the cushion over and over" was getting very silly.

    I remember reading some fan fiction once about the Doctor materialising on the Enterprise D. It was awful.

    I think Allen is going to do it. Not sure about Brecel - Si. I still favour Si but he did show a couple of signs of cracking, so it'll be interesting to see how he handles the pressure as it ramps up. Then again, Brecel isn't exactly used to this situation either.

    Honestly, I think Si might go on to dominate snooker for the next 20 years. He's incredible. The first of the Chinese players that really seems to actually have what it takes to be the very best.

    Happened early on my wife's phone, late on mine and supposedly many didn't get an alert at all. Can't see that it matters much. Not like we get earthquakes or volcanoes here, and if an asteroid or nuclear weapon is about to hit us then it won't do any good anyway.

    The big Picard finale today! I've enjoyed this season a lot so far. It's still had its weaknesses - the actual plot and some of the writing has been a bit .. basic. But it's been big and bold and fun and they've leaned heavily on nostalgia (but somehow managed to do so in a non-aggravating manner). Looking forward to catching up with the last episode tonight!
