  1. Crazy end to the Denmark/NI game. NI scored an unconventional goal deep into injury time. And it is now stuck in VAR hell and has been for several minutes.
  2. I'm going to see him in Saturday in Brum. Really looking forward to it. I've seen him several times post 2000 and he puts on the most amazing shows. In no way is he just a "legacy" act if anybody thinks that!

    Weather...

Woah, the rain has suddenly hit... Going to have a river outside the house I suspect
  4. That rarest of things - a pro-Birmingham, anti-Manchester article in the Guardian. Treasure this day, for we may never see the likes again.
  5. I thought it was 9/5. What a way to make a living.
  6. It's just marketing and perception. They keep telling people it's cool and eventually people believe it. As for Brum, honestly, go stand in St Phillips or St Paul's square, close your eyes, forget which city you're in, and then open and look around. You could be in London. You could be in a fancy European city. It's no different - in fact, in many ways Birmingham has nicer squares than London because it doesn't have those godawdul massive "cheap" hotel blocks ruining the outlook. I swear it's all just perception. Go to New Street and look up, above ground level. Oh hey, these are extremely nice buildings - who would have thought? Whether this is something that a footballer like Asensio cares about or notices who is to say? These people are different to us, they move from place to place and country to country regularly, they have enough money to jet off wherever they want whenever they want. Does it really ever matter where their club is physically located?
  7. Quantum physics huh? I'm now thinking that if none of us watch the conference league we will be in a superposition state where we have both won it and not won it at the same time.
  8. I don't know what I thought would happen with Villa, Spurs and Brentford but I didn't expect all three to win! Amazing result. Unai Emery is a genius.
  9. Well that's a shock. Sad news indeed. Adds a whole new dimension to Ghost's just-released cover version of We Don't Need Another Hero now - I think it'll be forever intertwined with this news in my mind now.
  10. I think he did the right thing. A win was ideal yes, but a loss would have been certain relegation. No way could he risk losing. A draw keeps them in the fight. He got it right imo.
  11. I guess this is the end for the Cornwall satellite launching industry? https://www.bbc.com/news/business-65692302 Virgin Orbit: Branson’s rocket dream ends after mission failure Sir Richard Branson's rocket company Virgin Orbit has shut down, just months after a major mission failure. The firm's converted jet and leases on properties have been sold for $36m (£29m), just a fraction of the $3.7bn the company was valued at in 2021. In March, Virgin Orbit said it would make most of its workforce redundant after failing to secure new investment. The California-based firm filed for bankruptcy protection in the US early last month.
  12. Very important point that for Leicester. They still have a chance. A loss and it would have been effectively certain relegation (bar some ludicrous goal difference swing). Going to be one hell of a last day. All three relegation threatened teams at home to midtable-ish opposition. Too tight to call, but Everton obviously a nose ahead of the other two.
  13. Ok, I get your argument. As you say, given the current rules, it's hard to come to a sensible decision in scenarios like that.
  14. It was definitely a strange offside decision having seen it on MOTD. I thought initially that it was a blatant offside from the initial ball in but that wasn't the case. It was the nodding back of the ball into Ramsey and it deflecting back to a Liverpool player that was offside. I think technically it was offside (if we assume Ramsey was't deliberately playing the ball), but I don't think it should be really because it just seemed like random luck that it ended up at the Liverpool player's feet. Not that I'm complaining about Liverpool getting a decision go against them of course, they absolutely deserve that after some of the decisions they've been getting. I just mean in general I don't think that scenario should have been an offside.
  15. He never fell anywhere though did he? He was always that way.
  16. Strong team! Let's hope Bailey has one of his good games.
