  1. We fill our electric car up with electricity about once every three or four weeks, usually after 11pm. I bet the majority would be similar too. For local tootling about they are a huge win. And if the two-way storage and return thing can prove workable that would be hugely beneficial. We already get paid by Octopus occasionally to use electricity (when the agile tariff goes negative) and that should hopefully only become a more normal thing in the future.
  2. My Baby's Taking Me Home is a total masterpiece, I can't get enough of that song. Dick Around is genius too. Lil Beethoven and Hello Young Lovers are just two superb albums. I saw them live earlier this year, they were great (well, the second half of the set anyway, wasn't quite so keen on the first half so much).
  3. Watched the Cash challenge on motd. It was nothing really was it. It was no "Ben Mee" it was effectively just a late strong "trip". You see those almost every game. Yellow card was fair. Was just unlucky Bentancur got hurt. I would still rather we didn't start playing that way though. I also thought we looked superb on the highlights. I know they don't tell the whole story obviously, but honestly, from just those clips I thought we looked the better team. Funny how highlight packages can tell a different story to the actual game sometimes.
  4. Wow, it's like the McLaren F1 done properly with no shortcuts. And with a giant fan at the back!
  5. Poker Face. Loving it so far. Natasha Lyonne is always brilliant anyway, but I'm enjoying the whole "Columbo rebooted" feel it has. It's not as good as Columbo I don't think, but the first three episodes have been very enjoyable. Not sure how it'll progress from here though, I've seen some reviews state that it gets worse as the series progresses, maybe the concept/writing is really not strong enough for a whole season? Guess I'll find out.
  6. Won't mean an end to rockets, as you'd need them to get the thing into space. But once in space you won't need to factor in the fuel for its own propulsion. So yeah, point taken. As for how much it'll help in space... Well it remains to be seen what sort of thrust they can get out of this thing (my bet is it'll be zero thrust) but even if it does work I don't know what they expect they may be able to achieve. I've seen reports that they think they can get thrust massively more than an ion engine for a fraction of the weight.
  7. So spacex have launched a satellite powered by a Quantum Drive (no, not the one from The Orville). It's a reactionless drive similar to the EmDrive from a few years ago, although not exactly the same. If it works ... well it kind of means a lot of physics will need looking at again and it'll also mean a revolution in space propulsion (no more rocket equation).
  8. Well, I don't really think that was a pen, but the first one was so it's balanced out.
  9. I just despair.... I mean the catalogue of Maguire errors is just unbelievable.
  10. To convert Centraligrade into Farright simply multiply by 9/5 and add 32
  11. I'm kind of hoping that the Starship launch later goes horribly wrong and somehow crashes into the Vegas F1 track and makes for a doubly historic spectacle. Without hurting anyone of course.
  12. Starship going up again today? I'm looking forward to a giant explosion again.
  13. Lescott saying it as it is, not just defending Kane regardless
  14. Yeah that's the only one I can think of and I'm hesitant to even call it a shot...
  15. I think it's stretching it to even say we've had a shot off target to be honest. It's been that bad.
