  1. It is the 10th round of the FA Cup competition.
  2. I often wonder why it doesn't just get rotated a few degrees anticlockwise to stop it from looking like it's falling over backwards.
  3. Don't know about anybody else, but when I've been abroad to capital cities I've hopped on a train to go to a famous old attraction many times. Example: in Prague I went off to Plzen to look at the pilsner brewery. No reason at all in my mind why tourists wouldn't want to visit the place where the football league began (well, close enough anyway), to see the first, original "most famous club in football". All the club need to do is make it attractive to visit, with a quality museum space (like Barcelona do) and something like the Warehouse concept. I honestly think with the right marketing Villa Park could easily attract tourists from London for a day out.
  4. Totally disagree here. The biggest impact a ref can have is in the little decisions that stop the team from being able to play or challenge for the ball.
  5. Did not think it was a pen in real time but in the replays.... He did get clipped
  6. It's made it into The Mirror and probably other newspapers too. Not a great PR situation for the club really (if they care). https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/aston-villa-badge-fans-emery-31803056
  7. That definitely scales down better than the current round badge
  8. The only issue I have with the round badge really is that at small scales it looks fairly, I don't know, heavy and blobby. I don't think it scales to small sizes particularly well, maybe because it is pretty dark overall. Still a billion times better than the new abomination however.
  9. Oh no.... I just suddenly had a horrible image of a claret strip with a blue sash.
  10. Except for if his goal against us results in us missing out on the Champions League of course....
  11. The only thing that desperately needed fixing was the yellow-on-blue colour scheme, why can't they see that??!!
  12. The moment when he and Bailey attempted to disprove Pauli's Exclusion Principle by occupying the same space at the same time in the Burnley box was kinda hilarious. But also makes me question just how effective they are playing together.
  13. Not convinced by that lineup. Very flimsy midfield. Let's hope Bailey and Diaby can click in attack.
  14. I said exactly the same thing. He's the one player we have that can just totally bamboozle the opposition team no matter what their tactics (sadly he's also just as likely to bamboozle his own team as well....)
  15. Maybe to some degree, but that picture above looks like a whole new stand to me.
  16. But wouldn't you have to demolish the existing North to build that anyway? Where has the goalpost structure gone?
  17. But were those measures enforced by the EU? If the UK had previously wanted to sell a pint, could that have been added to the"allowed" list prior to Brexit?
  18. It's great fun! Lots and lots of peculiar noise potential.
  19. Ok, here is my "studio" which consists of two shelves (plus the shelf with the speakers). I kept buying the odd module here and there and over the years built up this collection, with which I have discovered I have no discernable talent unless you're into avant-garde noise scapes (and even then I'm stretching the definition of "talent").
