  1. He played under 90 mins at the Robin as well, I think any longer is probably just too much for him these days. Agree about the Move Vs Wizzard stuff, although Wizzard were very odd in that the singles were totally different to the album - Wizzard Brew is just a massively noisy beast of an album and really very different to the lightweight poppy singles.
  2. Well done Bristol City. And they should have had a penalty and they had a goal unfairly ruled out too. Great to see.
  3. Unorthodox Behaviour and Moroccan Roll are astonishing albums. Phil's drumming on them is remarkable.
  4. Saw him at Hyde Park - he indeed is struggling to walk and cannot play drums. He still put on a decent show though, particularly good in a festival setting to be honest with his perky upbeat pop stuff. It is odd equating him with the same guy that used to play endlessly complex jazz fusion and prog in the seventies and eighties though...
  5. Saw Roy Wood at the Robin 2 last night. Brilliant night - played loads of his old Move and Wizzard songs. He is a fantastic front man, full of jokes and stories and has a great rapport with the audience. I'd like to see him do a tour in a more 'rock' setting than a 'rock 'n roll' setting (i.e. more guitar and less sax) but it was still brilliant. Not sure how well a gig like that will translate to a nice comfy sit-down venue like symphony hall though.
  6. Nice system there - I once worked on something similar many years ago that determined eligibility to benefits via a series of modelled questions. I would say that I found it very very hard to decide between some of those Brexit choices though, because they were often so disparate in their content. Almost ended up answering randomly at times when there was very little in common between the offered choices.
  7. Wow, I learnt something here. Very interesting that BSL constructs sentences so differently to standard written English, but I can see how that would have to be the case.
  8. Wow... This is unexpected. Keep going though Villa! Time to shake off the hesitance and panic football and just go for it!
  9. This is a disgraceful performance. I am so fed up of watching this rubbish.
  10. I hope we don't have to revise the estimate to page 2000 now...
  11. Yeah, we thought it was a penalty from the Doug Ellis but the replays showed that it wasn't really.
  12. Was actually impressed to see Bruce make attacking halftime subs, I was really not expecting that. Adomah caused all sorts of issues and I thought we'd go on to win. But then Lansbury got sent off for some inexplicable reason that only the referee's tiny mind can fathom and then Adomah got shifted to right back? Huh? And with it we lost part of our impetus, although it we still overall remained on top. Referee was appalling and completely one-sided. That was never a red card for Lansbury, cannot begin to imagine how the ref can defend that decision. Overall, one of the more attacking displays I have seen recently and we were genuinely unlucky not to win.
  13. So Dr. Tony was at the draw then! He is at the far right of the first picture.
  14. Wow - those last two goals.... both amazing. What exactly has happened to Villa this past week? I'm gobsmacked.
  15. I like him, but he's not on the same level as Peter Gabriel despite so obviously wanting to be him.
  16. At a wedding. Dolly Parton is cheering me up. 9 to 5 is a great tune. Oh and also Aston Villa. Something.
  17. That passing plot shows just how important the Hutton/Elmo combination was to us and how much of a mess the Gabby/Bacuna/Taylor axis was (basically one too many players in the same area). And when Hull neutralised Elmo in the second half we just collapsed entirely until Green came on and restored balance. Just why couldn't Bruce see what was happening earlier? Surely he could have brought Green on to counter Hull's tactical switch? And if Green was not fit enough for more than 20 mins then at least make some other kind of adjustment. Very frustrating.
  18. Yes, hopefully Whelan was struggling today because of the team setup rather than because he is past his sell-by date...
  19. I think the presence of Terry and Elmo has lifted a weight off his shoulders. He was linking up with Elmo terrifically in the first half. He still does odd things, and often telegraphs his intentions, but I was impressed today.
  20. Bacuna and Whelan... They were so poor...
  21. Instantly changed to the game as soon as he came on. Eased the pressure on our midfield and defence, allowed Elmo back into the game because Hull suddenly had another target to mark, and if he'd come on earlier I'm sure we would have won. Shame he didn't score but to me it seemed like a surprise that the ball came through to him but I haven't seen any replays so am just going from my immediate reaction to the miss.
  22. Not sure myself. He looked weak and unable to win any challenges and couldn't engineer any space for himself, both things a decent striker needs to do otherwise how can other players provide him with any decent service? One or two decent runs that didn't lead to anything aren't enough to convince me.
  23. Very poor. I pin that loss totally on Bruce. He was the one who started Bacuna, he was the one that sat and watched Hull tear us apart for half an hour until they finally scored and did nothing until after that, and he is the one that still hasn't managed to work out how to link up play with our strikers. Bacuna was awful, Whelan was poor, I am not sure what so many saw in Hogan today because all I saw was a small guy who failed to win a single challenge and couldn't make any space for himself at all. Good points? Elmo and Hutton linking up well, Terry was class, Green and Onomah changed the game when they finally came on. I don't blame Green for the miss - I was sitting in the Doug Ellis and I was surprised that ball came through to him so I can only imagine he was surprised too. I also thought Gabby put in a good shift and looked a real handful for most of the game.
  24. Hmm. I got the following error message: "Divide by zero error at IsSteveBruceBetterThanTimSherwood.cs line 1"
