  2. ...but we have to play a football match again.
  3. Absolutely. Though my gran would be better than our other left back option. And she only had one leg. When she was still alive.
  4. If Spurs draw, Arsenal only need to win 14-0 to finish above them...nailed on.
  5. I think Comoli is just another version of Riley. As said above, claiming Bale and Suarez doesn't outweigh the shit he was responsible for. Another chancer.
  6. I think so, but different from the Premiership. IIRC Leicester and Bournemouth both broke the rules but seem to have got away without any bother.
  7. I think a Chinese consortium would be more likely to get around FFP - or not worry about it - to splash the cash and get the return quicker. The potential market is vast, so having to buy the occasional Chinese 'star' to boost the shirt sales would be likely.
  8. If we're back to Sherwood, I'm going to pour myself a bleach cocktail.
  9. Doesn't sound very British to me.
  10. 9 at the back, Gabby up front. No subs. Hang on for 0-4 so we keep the goal difference above -50 for the season.
  11. Richardson might be back too - just to complete the set.
  12. Aston VIlla FooTball Club can confirm Chairman StevE HoLLIS remains in active negotiatiONs over the sale of the Club. Chairman Steve HoLlis said: "We ARe in veRY constructive nEgotiations which could Lead to the sale of the CLub to a new Owner. "There has been no shortage of partIeS who would like to own AstON Villa but our negotiations are now wiTH thosE parties that we Believe wILL have the passION and AmbItion to return the Club to winning the highest honours in European football. "The appointment of the manager is at this time inextricably linked to the curREnt negotiations." The Club has consulted with supporter representatives over the annual lap of appreciation and understand in the current circumstances that would not be appropriate. Throughout a bitterly disappointing campaign our supporters have been the one positive and the Club would like to thank them all for their tremendous support.

  14. The one thing I've heard consistently on the radio / tv over the last few dreadful months has been how great our support has been. This sounds like an epic way to bow out of the premier league. Daughter's birthday is keeping me away, but I hope it is an awesome party.
  15. You want to be careful about that...
  16. I'd like to keep him. I think he'd be good in the championship, but better to loan him out and let him develop further than sell at a loss.
  17. Another pointless fixture - both figuratively and literally.
  18. I'm very undecided about this game. I don't get up often but would love to be there for our final premier league game (for a while), but I really don't want to watch the side Black keeps putting out. If there's going to be a big carnival atmosphere then I'm in but I don't want to (ahem - miss my daughter's birthday party) to watch Bacuna, Lescott and Gabby and Richardson being booed for 90 minutes.
  19. But...he's been a number 2 (literally) for a while. He should at least have an idea of what to do.
  20. I really hope they get this done soon. If we go into transfer season without the sale done and a new manager, there's no way any of the few players worth keeping will stay. We need to show that there is a positive future, the club will be investing to go straight back up and have someone in charge with enough clout to persuade the likes of Ayew, Gana, Amavi that they should stay to be part of it. Soon.
  21. Can't wait to see the team sheet Eric the wise selects this week. Oh yes - maybe the one change if Richardson's back. So, so depressing.
  22. So...pick 'em again on Sat then Eric?
  23. rubberman Everton 1-1 Bournemouth Newcastle 1-0 Palace Stoke 0-1 Sunderland Watford 1-1 Villa WestBrom 0-2 WestHam Arsenal 3-0 Norwich Swansea 1-2 Liverpool ManUtd 1-1 Leicester Southampton 1-3 ManCity Chelsea 1-2 Spurs http://pastebin.com/sm39uktQ
  24. "The club will make it clear that he signed a contract and will be staying until they are good and ready to sell him for a significant profit and the representatives can jog on." I hope.
