So...couldn't get into Palace's or Norwich's teams - neither of which were scoring goals. Hardly smacks of being worth £10m. I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong but for me there's a reason he hasn't kicked on and nowhere he's been on loan seem to have wanted to make it permanent.

I acknowledge his good record in the championship, but 5 loans in as many years? Something must be a bit iffy - even if it's just that his salary is unaffordable.

Not been terribly impressed with Bamford. Seems to have been passed around on loan forever with no-one ever thinking he's good enough to take permanently, so not sure why we should. And seems to have a championship ceiling, so isn't going to be much use next year (hopefully).

Hard to turn down £10-11m, but would love to see us play hardball and hang on to him. There's plenty of other places to fill without having to replace him.

Without a solid defence and mobile attack, I think it's pretty difficult to judge the creative players last season. There was no consistent shape or team from Tim and Remi played so conservatively to try to stop us being beaten. And the less said about KMac and Black the better. There were maybe 2 or 3 games all season when we set out to attack. Too depressing to think back on, but I still think Gil, Grealish and Veretout could offer so much more with a secure back 5 and sharper striker.

Yes, the new season starts in 10 weeks, but another way of looking at it is that last season finished a couple of days ago. The transfer window isn't open yet. Assuming that we are unlikely to be shopping for Euro players, most if not all of our targets will be on their holidays. We need to get a move on, but there is still time to get everything in place and I'm absolutely certain that plenty will be happening behind the scenes. As soon as F&P tests are passed it'll be full on very quickly. It's frustrating to be in limbo, but way too early to write off next season because of where we are now.

This is why we desperately need a manager in place asap. If Jack is to figure in his (RDM's?) plans, Jack needs to know it and stop the vultures circling. Same for the other half dozen or so worth keeping. They need to be told the squad will be built around them, assured of more quality coming in and get bought in to the vision for hte next couple of seasons. -
Not worth arguing about. They both need to go. Whether attitude, commitment or age is the issue, they have both been at the heart of our season horribilis.

Relatively low on my OUT list, but £5m seems like a decent price. Not massively bothered either way as he can probably do an OK job next year, but would be needing an upgrade if we go back up.
