  1. With all the Bruce out chat, we seem to have missed that our possession over the last 3 games has been 51% v Hull, 59% v Colchester and 65% v Cardiff. We're winning the possession! WINNING!
  2. Game night. Good - haven't had a must-win game in a while.
  3. Isn't this likely to be a misprint on the OS - taken from the quote about not being ready to play 2 strikers? Anyway - tonight: I'd take scratchy 0-1 win from an own goal or penalty, but a performance that sees the back of Bruce. Win-Win.
  4. I'd hold off committing to any transfers for a couple of days if I were the board.
  5. Was never much enamored of Bruce's appointment, but could see the reasoning. With him here I thought the best bet was to stick with him through the summer and pre-season because surely he would have a plan and structure for getting the best out of the squad, even if it was never going to be pretty. The most depressing thing is to find that he can't. The players signed make sense and look good on paper, but he doesn't seem to have any idea what to do with them. If it's true that he doesn't do the day to day coaching, then there is obviously a massive gap between what he is expecting and Calderwood is providing and this disconnect is so clear on match day. It's completely the opposite of the likes of Pochettino who is renowned for coaching, improving and getting the best out of individuals. This coaching team is making players worse. Get rid of Bruce and his coaches.
  6. I can't believe the silence isn't covering a lot of discussions between Round, Wyness and Xia. A big win and performance might hold things off tomorrow, but otherwise Bruce'll be gone. As mentioned above, there's too much evidence that delaying any longer will do for us this year as well. I truly don't believe Moyes will be on the list. God knows who will though.
  7. It's fair to say I am disappointed by this result and performance.
  8. Terms and conditions: Previous performance is no guarantee of future performance.
  9. Me too. Good luck Jordan - sure we'll hear more from you in the future.
  10. Yep...so we definitely need a new LB. Feel sorry for Thor. Would like him to get a run in a consistent position as I'm sure there's a player there, but Bruce seems to see him as a bits and pieces utility player and that never works for a player.
  11. That's alright - we'll be back in the top flight then and we need a new squad!
  12. Strong team, good win, a few goals and some momentum please.

  14. Nice one @Chewie. Looking forward to it - hope I have the luck of last season...
  15. I'd be happy with a win and a shit performance.
  16. Jeez - they couldn't even be bothered to tidy up before taking that photo.
  17. BBC's panel of 25 journos predicts us to come 3rd, behind Boro & Fulham. Wednesday, Derby and Wolves to make up the playoffs. Linky
  18. Getting excited now. I sooooo hope this season is good.
  19. I think if we go unbeaten we will be better than near the top.
  20. Ah - the old 8-10-5 formation. Midfield gets a bit congested, but should be solid at the back.
  21. Glad he's staying for now. I like him.
  22. It's like raaaaainnn on your wedding day.
  23. I'm not much of a Hart fan and reckon he's been making plenty of mistakes recently. That said he is still (just about) the current England no1 and added to that we don't have a keeper at all. So on balance, though I know it would be a massive coup to get him, I'm not that enthused by it.
