Yeah - I read that about him as well. Still a shit signing, but it's a small amount of glitter that the turd is rolled in if he's helping out behind the scenes.
You had me until this ^. Now is not the time to be changing the fundamental formation that is working for us. Especially with, as you say, games coming thick and fast. Let's use the squad depth to rotate in and out as necessary, but with players fulfilling the same, established, roles within the team.
Stick for me. Same starting line-up, but with Grabban and Green on the bench, replacing some of the hundreds of midfielders (Whelan and the lawnmower lad). Show faith in those that have won the last 5 and keep the strong team ethic that seems to be building. Options to go more attacking or close it down, depending on how the game's going.
Cardiff have a nasty run coming up. Away at Leeds then 3 in 8 days - Millwall away, Bolton home and Boro home. Don't think they'll be getting too much from that lot.
Derby 3 home games - all mid table and winnable so we'll need to keep on our game.
Bristol have a similar Feb schedule to us. 1 tough away game, 3 home games.
I think it'll be shaping for a straight fight between us and Derby by the end of the month, with that game at VP looming. Would be good to get the goal differences in our favour as it could be that tight.
3 of those with some against teams in the top 8, so hasn't been easy. Amazing run.
Had a look at a Derby forum last week and they barely seemed to think we were a threat. Bet they do now.
I think it's a 2 weeks to show where his head is and how much he wants it. Bruce giving Ross a bit of rope. Fanny around on the booze and that's it... Put in some serious work and there is a way back.
Over to you Ross - would be good to get you back and in form.
Davis hasn't scored much but when he was in the side we were scoring form midfield. Don't mind where the goals come from as long as they come. Plus he hasn't played with grealish in the side yet has he? Different from hogan but I wouldn't write off his effectiveness to the team yet.
I'd be happy with another experienced striker but not just getting anyone in just for the sake of it.

I expect Steve and Ross will have a serious talk when he's back. Maybe Ross can show he's sorted himself out and still has something to offer, maybe whatever has gone on means that the relationship is irreparable. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
McCormack on form would surely be an asset on the run in, but not at the expense of the squad togetherness. Bruce knows what he's doing in that area.
Know nothing about the lad - hadn't heard of him till a couple of weeks ago. But so far Bruce has been pretty astute in the loan market and has done extremely well in managing the team ethos within the squad. If he feels Axel is the right player and he knows what to do with him then I'll have faith that he's got it right.
I've seen this a few times. However well Elphick played when he stepped in, I can't believe he would have a problem with John Terry coming back and replacing him. Other positions and players would have a point - might feel a bit aggrieved - but it's not only our captain, it's John Terry. I reckon he'll have been ok with it.
