So - managed to miss the final week, but just like villa had nothing to play for. Well dona all and thanks to @chewie for all the hard work.

Got back from a 100 mile bike ride in Spain to see us go a goal up via VT and then catch the second half via dodgy stream. Not pretty, but job done so far. Well done boys.

That's certainly a valid viewpoint. I'll bank that for if we don't go up! Otherwise, going up via the playoffs is no shame, particularly this season which has been pretty tough. Clubs coming down aren't those that have just gone up... If you take out the top six the PL is pretty exciting / nail-biting. And the cash is good.

Don't care who we play in the final - we're going to win it.

No - sounds like it should be (or nightmares!), but it's real. 'Arry's about to go and try to make a robot lawnmower work - I'm expecting to hear "just run around and mow the faackin' lawn" They are filming some version of the gadget show for old folk.

Not sure where to put this, but here is as good a place as any...Currently have Harry Redknapp, Dot Cotton and Jack Whitehall's dad in my kitchen trying and failing to make Alexa give them a recipe to make scones. It's very funny and quite surreal.

Pressure's on now. Theirs to lose but who knows what will happen. Exciting for there still to be something to play for (in a good way) at this stage of the season.

If we do stay down, given how much of this season he missed, a full season as the focal point of the team in this league would be better than bench-warming in the PL. Don't see he'd get much benefit from joining a bottom half team (where he'd be likely to play regularly) over staying with us TBH. Think where he and we would be if he'd been fit all season - pretty sure we'd be up and his value would be double. Worth it all round to give it another year IMO.

NurembergVillan is spot on. I work in another sport and we took over the kit supply for the top team in our world on those lines. As is evidenced from the number of people just on this thread who didn't know of Luke but now do, the marketing exposure is worth many times the cost of the deal. They will hope that much of that interest tums into sales of their main range as well but is certainly going to expand their reach outside of the Midlands.

Interesting deal. Had never heard of Luke and not expecting much having looked at their aesthetic. In theory the speed to market means the club could bring out a specific Playoffs kit (or Champions league final kit) - (well - subject to league rules on kits) which would be interesting.

Nah - I'm with J-V. Till it's gone you don't give up. And that means hoping Fulham and Cardiff have some kind of heatwave implosion - starting tonight.

I think a lot may come down to Bruce's future. If he stays, he could well persuade JT to give us another year and that would have a big influence on Jack IMO. If Bruce goes and JT heads back to Chelsea to start coaching, Jack might be more tempted. So much depends on the next few weeks...
