  1. Sadly, really don't expect any change till the international break. Gonna be a bleak month to come.
  2. Blimey. Wasn't expecting full strength. Hope we can get ahead and give the kids more than 2 mins.
  3. On the back of this astute analysis I have wagered £1 on us to win the league. Thanks!
  4. He's taken all the chances he's been given so far. Could easily see him being one of our top scorers this season. Exciting times.
  5. I dunno about that. They both missed a few sitters last season, but have both proved they can score more in the past. Being less isolated, with a more solid spine the creative players should provide more. We weren't far off in goals for, it was more goals against that did for us. I'd be OK relying on them and investing elsewhere.
  6. With an upgraded defence and midfield, I reckon we have enough solidity to unleash the creativity for Watkins and Ings to really up the scoring next season, with Archer ready to step up in a year's time. Not sure we need to spunk a load of wedge on another striker. Don't seem to be many options that would really improve us in our shopping zone.
  7. I don't know who I want, but I'm not getting excited by Suarez or Richarlison as new options up front. Or Tammy.
  8. I still can't quite get over the fact that Richarlison is younger than Watkins. It's twisting my melon, man.
  9. I dunno, maybe wait for the window to open before worrying too much?
  10. To add to that ^^^ - the season starts earlier + there is the ridiculous world cup break. That might make a pretty strange season and early points will be vital. We're likely to have more top tier international players - injuries, workload etc - all will have major impact across the squads I expect. Teams who do their business late and/or have a slow start might struggle to catch up without the usual run of games to settle.
  11. Assuming we get 4 new first team starters, having 2 in already before the window slams open means they'll have a full pre-season. Hopefully the others will follow on quickly. I think (hope) that will make such a huge difference to how we start next season. Getting ahead of those still finding their feet and early points on the board builds momentum (to cover all the cliches).
  12. Have to say I'm already jizzing myself this window and it's not even open. Don't think Suarez is the right choice but I'll keep faith in the recruitment team. Our ambition is off the charts. Now where are those tissues.
  13. Classic mid table vs relegation threatened game. Mings block was stunning. Pope was on one of those days. Didn't lose. Didn't learn much. Sunday will be exciting because of what rests on it, but looking forward to who comes in this summer now.
  14. Much as I would love Everton or Leeds to go down, 3 points would likely give us a more respectable finishing position, even assuming nothing away at Citeh. Everton should make themselves safe tonight anyway. Then again, Leeds going down would be excellent. Hey ho - probably reasonably ok with whatever result tonight. Would very much like another little Emi masterclass though.
  15. Just popped in to see if there was anything to talk about in tonight's selection.
  16. Really dull. Design bashed out by an intern in 30mins.
  17. Chuk injured in the warm up?
  18. Very happy to break my watching-us-lose-on-tv streak. 15mins of pressure that we had to weather but the rest of the match was beautiful to watch.
  19. Love Ashley but surely the kids could benefit from 5 mins at 3-nil up.
  20. Oh. Out of the last 4 games I have watched 2 (losses) and missed 2 (wins). Last Leeds game I missed the first half and watched the second half. Sorry, lads. Might have to make the missus put on a romcom tonight.
